Hace muchos años, una canción cautivó a todo mi país y, a través de las ondas de la radio, se convirtió en un éxito que conquistaría a miles de personas alrededor del mundo. En el corazón de la Venezuela de los 70, los sonidos del bolero y las serenatas capturaban la atención de un país que soñaba con el amor y el romanticismo. Uno de los íconos de esa época es la banda Los Terrícolas y su icónico tema “Te juro que te amo”.“Te juro que te amo” de Los Terrícolas es en realidad una versión al español de la canción que tres años antes grabara originalmente en italiano el artista Michele, quien la interpretó en 1970 con el título “Ti giuro che ti amo”. En 1976 yo Apenas era un niño y el mundo comenzaba a abrirse ante mí cuando descubrí esta canción. La voz de Johnny Rojas parecía llena de sentimiento y pasión, aunque no comprendía del todo lo que era amar, la canción emanaba sinceridad, y la melancolía de la melodía me llevaba a un mundo subjetivo.
Hoy en día, con canas en mi cabello, me siento bastante lleno de alegría y nostalgia al mismo tiempo al darme cuenta de cómo pasa el tiempo; es indetenible y ver lo talentoso que eran esos grupos musicales que se esmeraban para dar lo mejor de sí en su inspiración, su musa, sus composiciones y sus arreglos. Hoy en día, la tecnología ha abarcado muchas áreas. Aunque esto facilita ahorrar tiempo por la aceleración de nuestra época, también puedo darme cuenta de que el tiempo hoy día no se puede invertir en cosas recreativas. Así como ha cambiado la humanidad con mejoras tecnológicas, ha empeorado en cuanto a la pérdida de valores y el poder adquisitivo en muchos países. Eso quiere decir que hoy día hay que trabajar más para obtener menos. Qué bueno sería volver a esa época donde había tiempo para soñar y una ingenuidad tan bonita con los avances actuales. Amigo querido, que hermosa presentación. Los Terricolas son un clásico y clásico es aquello no caduca a pesar del paso del tiempo. La buena música es atemporal. Está canción me recuerda mucho a mi querida madre cuando estaba en vida y a quien le encantaba escuchar esta y otras canciones de los terricolas. Me trajo un bonito recuerdo.
