Good evening family and friends of the hive open mic community. You are welcome to hive open mic week 159. I'm somewhat mesmerized by your beautiful performances. It's truly wonderful and I must say, I love almost all the entries. I must apologize again for not being consistent here, work and school is not really giving me the time I need. Biko🤲 pardon me.

Lest I forget, my appreciation goes to the spotlight artist of this week and our lover boy😅😅, @jesus-son for choosing such a wonderful theme which says, "a good friend". With respect to the theme, I chose to do a cover of GUC's "Captured my Heart". Captured My Heart" is a heartfelt song that portrays Jesus as a good friend, someone who is always present in our lives, providing love, comfort, and guidance. Throughout the song, the lyrics emphasize the deep bond between Jesus and the believer, illustrating how Jesus' presence has a transformative impact on their life.

The song title conveys the idea that Jesus' love is so overwhelming and powerful that it completely captivates the believer, filling their heart with gratitude, devotion, and a desire to follow in His footsteps. Jesus' friendship is portrayed as a life-changing experience that brings hope, healing, and a sense of purpose to those who choose to accept it. Therefore I choose and accept Jesus as my only true friend.
