Affairs of love and conduct of relationships has always been a great puzzle to me, not as if I don't know the meaning of it. The thought of two people who once loved each other but due to one issue or another it has now become nearly impossible to tolerate the presence of one another. It makes you wonder what the whole fuzz was all about in the first place. Were they never meant to be together? was loving each other not enough to keep the relationship going? if it was never going to workout why did they give it a try in the first place? or was it just for fun?

It is hard to tell why some relationship went from being great to nothing, truth be told there are a lot of things that could go wrong in a relationship but is love not suppose to be enough to overcome any challenges. probably it wasn't love in the first place? they might not even know what it means. This are the kind of thoughts that go through my mind. it has never been clear to me what exactly keeps a relationship together, I mean you can love as much as you can for the sake of a relationship but it might still not work out. it is not as if there is a kind manual you could read and follow the steps to ensure everything goes smoothly.

A writer once describe love as a drug, it drives you insane. an element that does not work with logic. this means individuals who are intoxicated by this drug will eventually snap out of it. I guess this is why lovers grew apart but not all lovers, what exactly is missing? why do some people remain together while others grew apart?

There was a video I watched on tiktok about two couples who have managed to stay married for 48 years. that is a lot when you think about it though there are others who have been married for more than 50 years. while interviewing this old couples, they just kept smiling and all. the husband could barely say few words to show how old he was but there were things the wife said that resonate with my thought. when she was asked about how they managed to remain married despite all the challenges they might have encountered. She said, she was ready to put in the work, she was ready to overlook the challenges and their differences, she was ready to put up with the pain, she was ready to do what was necessary. I smiled while watching the video because I have finally solved the puzzle.

While mediating on what the couple's said, I knew I have heard those words before. it took me while to search for the song using its lyrics but then I found it. A song titled If You Want Love by NF. it was one of those songs I listen to whenever I'm trying to calm my nerves.

It is quite an unusual song, in the lyrics the singer made emphasis on "if you want love you would have to go through the pain" it makes you wonder why should love bring about pain, I mean we all venture into love to find happiness and joy which is kind of the opposite of pain but the truth is there is more to love than what most people believe it to be. it is not a bed of roses like it is told in stories. whosoever dares to love should be ready and prepared to make the necessary sacrifice to maintain it, only then will it stand a chance to blossom.

... whoever dares to love should be ready to sacrifice.
Seriously, the issue of love is too deep.

There's never a perfect marriage. There's always a red flag, but is that flag something you can afford to stick with? If yes, then you work things out. You'll have to go through the pain if you want to love, and it is as simple as that...or maybe not.

Love is definitely full of sacrifices. You must make compromises for it to be successful. The feeling is priceless though, we need to love and be loved.

Love is never enough and cannot successfully stand on its own without finance, commitment, communication, trust and understanding.

You know why? this is because some humans never really do anything without expecting something

If the true meaning of love is adhered to according to 1 Corinthians 13:4, love should be more than enough.
