VIBES week 28: The TOP 10 selections: My Honest Opinions
This is only my second post in this brilliant community and I couldn't possibly feel more at home than I do right now in this community. The sheer volume of music and musicians is a such a pleasure to witness and I am going to be giving my opinions of the top 10 post as selected by the judges @verbal-d and @silentscreamer . Also, a huge thank you to @lordbutterfly for birthing this amazing community. So, let's get into it. I'll be as brief as possible so I don't bore you😂.
The first entry is by @rodolfomandolina where he plays the mandolina and gives us an instrumental rendition. Honestly, as a stringed instrument player myself, I was absolutely mesmerized by his level of skill display on the instrument. Those fast runs. Oof. I can't play that fast and smoothly on the guitar yet. I'd have to choose either fast or smooth, not both😂.
The next entry was by @thonykx . Before he even started playing, the moment I saw the pedalboard, I knew I was in for a treat and I was not disappointed. His playing reminded me of Gary Moore's The Messiah Will Come Again and a little bit of Joe Satriani. And other worthy selection by the judges.
The next entry was by @alexdepool27 who playing a truly classic song by the Bee Gees that I personally love so much and have scored for fingerstyle guitar. The flutist added a really nice touch to it too. It did sound a bit breathy though. I'm not sure if it's supposed to sound that way or not. Either way, it was still great.
The next post is by @jhrecordz . This one just had my jaw on the floor from the beginning till the end. That keyboard dey try gan😂. Awesome dexterity.
The next post is by @angelmendoz4 . He certainly is a metal guitarist and has the hair to fit into that role completely. I was just remembering guys like Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield while he played. Awesome guitar skills.
The next post is by @lyon-89 . I did not understand most of the lyrics since I am not fluent in the language, but I really loved that baritone voice, and the control he has on his voice.
The next post is by @kayor . In my opinion, he displayed even more vocal agility than the previous post. Those riffs and runs🔥, and while play the keyboard along also. Beautiful!
The next post is from @isbelhiv02 . I felt completely at home with his acoustic cover of Sia's Chandelier. Awesome vocals. I however noticed that he didn't go to the higher octave at the chorus like in the original song. I was expecting that spike but I suppose a male voice would find that more difficult. Awesome cover nonetheless.
The next post is from @joseacabrerav . Once again, I didn't understand most of the lyrics due to language barrier but his ability to play arpeggios and sing along like that deserves applause. Another worthy pick.
The last selected post by the judges is by @sekani . Perhaps what stood out to me the most about this post even more than the obvious vocal mastery is her complete immersion in the music. She actually feels every single word as she sings it, taking us on the journey with her. It's so beautiful to see.
Regardless of who the winner turns out to be, I am immensely glad to have been able to listen to music from all around the world as a result of this contest. A huge thanks once again to @lordbutterfly for granting us this opportunity.
Now that I've seen the standard of winning posts in this contest, it's time to go make a great post of my own for the next contest and give myself a fighting chance. Wish me luck and see you later.
Thank you

This is such a lovely writeup @emmaba1, you sufficiently highlight the beauty of the individual performances. Thank you for your kind words. I also think we have an impressive lineup for the top 10 this week. I look forward to more content from you and some singing? 😊.
The lineup was certainly very impressive. I'll definitely be dropping more content as the days go by. Follow me to stay tuned😊😇.
