share metal and heavy(er) than 'normal'
music on #TTT but my personality holds many
facets as does my music collection. Some days I
listen to heavier stuff because I feel it is more empowering
when you're angry or dealing with frustration than speaking your mind to people
who are dicks - so I rather sing loudly in my car. It has worked fine so far and tends to return
me back to my normal state of calm diplomacy where I can deal with people more objectively. There are however times when I choose to get more in touch with the deeper emotions I am fumbling with. We all have them - yes, even you - sadness, loneliness, despair, feeling that life has dished out more dud cards than aces, the deflating feeling of needing to get somewhere fast and having a flat tyre. I turn to songs full of beautiful torment if there is such a thing, like these and I surrender...
This next artist I didn't find through her music originally. I found her through a 6 minute collation of her being "funny out of context" and of course it piqued my interest because I enjoy people who are unafraid of being funny and maybe a bit on the odd side.
She definitely is a bit odd by the standards of social norms and I love how socially awkward she is but absolutely unapologetically. Her music is beautiful too so the combination is great.
As for this last one, many will know it as part of the soundtrack from Grey's Anatomy, but it didn't actually need that to become famous, it is a stand alone stunningly pure song and whenever I hear it, it brings back memories from a long time ago, practically a whole different life looking back now from when I wasn't in touch with any of my emotions and chose to compartmentalise them instead of working through them.
Songs like this seem to give us permission to do exactly the opposite with whatever we are feeling, whether we are happy or the contrary, there is always a song to fit. The couple of weeks I've been adding to the TTT concept have been wonderful and I've found many new artists that I liked through it. It's also given me some insight into other people's music tastes and how they interpret songs which I enjoy too. I hope you found one here that you like.

I prefer the metal π
Lol, there will all sorts π
I like it all, for different moods and reasons. I like something heavy for cleaning my house/garden and especially my head. Something lighter and flowing for everyday living...
Some rap is just trash to me, but, I suppose one could say that about anything... Your TTT is well justified!
It is a working Wednesday here! Gotta dash! OX
The heavy music has it's place as does the melodic, I like a mix of almost everything depending on what I'm doing and feeling at the time. I'm not a big fan of most rap, but there is a song here and there that is lyrically worthwhile.
Exactly.
I love such a mix of genres of music, like you, it all depends how I'm feeling. I know Aurora, me and my girls like to listen to her.
The other 2 are new to me, so thanks for the intro xxxx
It's wonderful to have shared this with you and so happy you liked them, they are gorgeous songs.
It's been a while angel. Lovley tunes from a gentle spirit.
Aurora is incredible. Must agree. She's one of my favourite artists β€οΈ
Thanks, yeah I had some issues. Aurora is good fun (and a little nuts).
All the best artists are ;)
Just read Rollo May and the Neurotic and the Artist whatever today. It fits!
(Tho "We are all mad here" Alice in Wonderland fits better and prolly more accurate! :D )
Take care, angel.
Keep being you <3
