Deliciously Devious

MusicTTT.jpeg

The evening had started settling in and the sky was fading

She glances at the time...time to get ready
She puts on her black dress, the one with the slit down the back showing a touch of her spine. It's a favourite
Eyes: eyeliner, eyeshadow in deep brown, thickening mascara
Looking in the mirror while grooving to this...

Her reflection met with approval, now for lipstick.

Pout pout...perfect. Where would it end up? Who knows?

She knows.

She chuckles wickedly to herself.
Car keys, engage, roaring engine. She turns up the volume. Foot tapping as she drives.

Arriving, she's excited. Been a while since she was out and about, she's been looking forward to this for weeks.

Sitting down, she looks over the menu while making small talk. They order drinks, then food. Self conscious about ordering pizza? Hell no.

The band starts playing and it's all her favourite tracks. She dances in her seat a bit but eventually leads him to the dance floor and they flow together, music winding through the shared moment. Hours pass, she's still dancing when the band plays their encore. So sad that it's finished.

They pack up their belongings and with a few words and a kiss, they both head home. At the red traffic light she texts him this song...

So this was the first TTT song I came across this week, and what a helluva way to start it off. Absolutely loved how you told the story, and impressed how three songs can tell it so well.

Franz Ferdinand does one of my more favourite covers of "Call Me." Give it a listen if you get some time.

That's so cool. When I was looking up Call Me, I was amazed at how many cover versions there are, it's like a right of passage to cover this. A great version for sure. The original is still one of my favourite songs to dance to.

Glad you liked the story, I thought I'd do something a bit different for this week.

Thanks Boomy. That last song I found purely by accident but I love how raw it is, her eyes in the music video are quite intense.

It is a good un! She is like a pained Cocker Spaniel with those eyes!

That was really well put together now I must say, I really liked how you worked those tunes into your writing and the tunes fit perfectly and all rocked too. Bloody good cover of Blondie's classic too and really well delivered by that lady with the cool blue hair, she proper gets into it doesnt she! Props to the Bass/Keyboards player too... Meg Myers was new to me and was a very good listen and watch too, some voice she has and really delivers those lyrics, and the video while very engaging, was very freaky too, but it all just worked, great production by whoever and delivery by Meg..

Hey @ablaze

Thanks so much for coming around and listening. I love picking tunes for TTT, it's become a fun part of my week now. It's not often that I find female vocalists that really "get" me, but these ones did a great job...Do you know how many covers there are of Call Me? I couldn't believe it! Blue hair seems to be a thing in the music industry lol. I found another one which I'm planning on posting for this week as well.

The video of Meg also struck me as a bit out there, but she got her point across well.

I've found a number of great songs in these compilations under TTT, so nice to add good songs to my playlist. Thanks for such an awesome initiative. I'm gonna send you a few Hive to put towards the next couple.

Have a wonderful day/night 🦋
