Portal to 3 Lotuses #witchhop

With my pink boombox, a podcast microphone, a used laptop, a midi keyboard and a dream, 3 Lotuses was born from the mud of my life as I was in one of the most deep & challenging emotional and spiritual crisis' yet in my lifetime.

Living with a man who was emotionally unsafe and being isolated in that situation, I traveled deep into the realm of music as a means of escape.

I'd wake up in the morning and make these beats and write these songs, often inspired by the free poetry that was streaming through in my weekly courses with Marya Stark in the Temple of the Muse Rose Bard Rose Petalled Path.

I added lyrics that held my womb's secret longings, called in allies who i knew had my back to make the passage through the dark waters and bloom into the light.

This combined with secret codexes (like in Ursa Major) and channeled transmissions of the crow (Rowan and Ivy) made for an album.

I released 3 Lotuses from a hotel in Beaverton after packing my silver suitcase and leaving my partner and home after the cops getting called.

It was a reclaiming of my own sovereignty and destiny.

I was determined to release it, and downloads for the album ended up paying for said hotel rooms and a little room in my friend's house temporarily while I allowed my rung bell to fade for a moment.

Without my album, I wouldn't have sheltered myself intially. I wouldn't have had something to work on when I got to CA to stay with family, or to perform as I stepped on stage vulnerable to the world, yet powerful with what still remained, which was my voice.

My art. My music.

Since then I have brought these songs up and down the West Coast on tour. And I'm writing a whooooooole bunch more songs while I travel and tour.

As I write I'm landed in Kalama, WA and my laptop is on Rhymewave's desk. ELAmental gifted me a badass vocal mic yesterday.

I still feel grief and pain and anguish.
And also joy and inspiration and gratitude for all the blessings that have caught me so gently from a fall in love.

I'm making music about it.

Music is helping me grant my 3 wishes from a dream, in which my Djinn guide offers me a white, blue, and pink lotus and says I may make a wish with each one as I send them down a celestial river.

The Blue Lotus wish is for a regulated nervous system.
The White Lotus wish is for a safe space to make my art.
The Pink Lotus wish is peace in all my relationships.

Each day, I do my blessed to resonate in the field of these wishes, and to send along these prayers down the river to others who also share the same prayers.
