The proposal by @damarysvibra for this series of “Who am I? What I can contribute of myself” is very interesting. Especially because, in my opinion, the most complicated thing is to know yourself fully. It is said that an entire life can go by and we will never be able to fully know the person we live with. Well, the same thing happens with ourselves and it may be that at some point in life, we surprise ourselves doing things we never thought we could do.
The human being is too complex and we have many layers. So I am going to talk about what I am. What I believe, to this day, that I am and I think I know myself well enough.

First of all, I am a woman and a mother who follows Martí. Although I was baptized by the Catholic Church, my ethical and life principles were shaped by my grandmother and by the words of José Martí. That is why I will rely on several of his phrases (which I mentioned yesterday on his birthday in this post) to respond to this series.

I already told you, I am a woman and a Martian mother, so I will summarize that what I am is what I give.
I have always instilled these values ​​in my children and I do so by example. I not only encourage them to help others, to be empathetic, compassionate, educated, but I give them the example every day. Not only because it is my duty as a mother, but it pleases me, as the phrase says, it is part of my happiness; it makes me happy to see them grow with values ​​and principles that make them better human beings.
Since I was in La colmenita I realized that this was the way and it is the gospel that I should preach.

Life has shown me that all the good I do always comes back doubled. Every good deed (those that are done from the heart, without expecting anything in return), always comes back to you, the universe, God or whatever you want to believe in. I have many proofs and stories about this that I tell you. I have taught my children that through good deeds. And I am not the only one who thinks that. Look at the letter A of the La Colmenita alphabet and you will see.

I have always done what I am telling you, and this year, when I visited the headquarters of La Colmenita* after many years away, they gave me this alphabet and I immediately thought of my children. Now they have it as another guide for life.

My children study guitar at the “El Cucalambé” Professional School of Art, where I am the head of the guitar department. So I have to be twice as demanding. I have to demand respect from them as their teacher and as a mother. But at the same time I have to see them as children and students. There I demand even more from them than from other students. They have to set an example and do what they have to do.
As a musician it is also more complicated. Most teenagers find it difficult to study. They prefer to play soccer or connect to the internet all day. But the musician has to study his instrument several hours a day to have the repertoire active at 100%. That's why I study, even if I'm tired of housework or I feel bad.
I can't demand from them what I don't do. And for that same reason, I have the moral authority to demand.
In other words, just as José Martí and all those inspired by his words are examples to follow, that's what I am and what I give, a mother, a woman, and what I can give is my work, my works for my children.

What I can give is my example, my work, my help, my love, my support and drive to be better human beings every day that passes.

Es muy interesante la propuesta de @damarysvibra para esta serie de “¿quién soy? Lo que puedo aportar de mí”. Sobre todo porque, en mi opinión, lo más complicado es conocerse a cabalidad. Se dice por ahí que puede pasar una vida entera y nunca podremos conocer completamente a la persona con la que vivimos. Pues, con nosotros mismos sucede similar y puede ser que en algún momento de la vida, nos sorprendamos haciendo cosas que nunca pensamos que podríamos hacer.
El ser humano es demasiado complejo y tenemos muchas capas. Así que voy a conversar sobre lo que soy. Lo que creo, hasta el día de hoy, que soy y pienso conocerme lo suficiente.

Primero que todo soy mujer y madre martiana. Aunque me bautizaron por la iglesia católica, mis principios éticos y de vida fueron moldeados por mi abuela y por las palabras de José Martí. Por eso me apoyaré en varias de sus frases (que mencioné ayer por su natalicio en este post) para responder a esta serie.

Ya les dije, soy mujer y madre martiana, por lo que resumiré que lo que soy, es lo que doy.
A mis hijos siempre les he inculcado estos valores y los hago desde el ejemplo. No solo les aliento a ayudar a los demás, a ser empáticos, compasivos, educados, sino que les doy el ejemplo a diario. No solo porque es mi deber como madre, sino que me place, como dice la frase, es parte de mi felicidad; me hace feliz verlos crecer con valores y principios que los hace mejores seres humanos.
Desde que estaba en La colmenita me di cuenta que este era el camino y es el evangelio que debía predicar.

La vida me ha demostrado que todo el bien que haga, siempre regresa duplicado. Toda buena acción (esas que se hacen de corazón, sin esperar nada a cambio), siempre el universo, Dios o en lo que deseen creer, retorna hacia ti. Tengo muchísimas pruebas e historias sobre esto que les cuento. Eso les he enseñado a mis hijos, pero a través de buenas acciones. Y no solo lo pienso yo. Fíjense en la letra A del alfabeto de La Colmenita y verán.

Siempre he hecho esto que les digo, y este año, cuando visité la sede de La Colmenita* luego de muchísimos años lejos, me regalan este abecedario y enseguida pensé en mis hijos. Ahora lo tienen como otra guía para la vida.

Mis hijos estudian guitarra en la Escuela Profesional de Arte “El Cucalambé”, donde ejerzo como jefa de departamento de la cátedra de guitarra. Así que debo ser doble de exigente. Les debo exigir respeto como su profesora y como madre. Pero al mismo tiempo los tengo que ver como hijos y estudiantes. Allá le exijo incluso más que a otros alumnos. Ellos tienen que dar el ejemplo y hacer lo que les toca.
Como músico es también más complicado. A la mayoría de los adolescentes les cuesta estudiar. Prefieren jugar fútbol o conectarse todo el día en internet. Pero el músico tiene que estudiar su instrumento varias horas al día para tener el repertorio activo al 100%. Por eso estudio, aunque esté cansada de las labores domésticas o me sienta mal.
No puedo exigirles lo que no hago. Y por esa misma razón, tengo la moral de exigir.
O sea, del mismo modo que José Martí y todos aquellos inspirados por su palabra son ejemplos a seguir, eso es lo que soy y lo que doy, una madre, una mujer y lo que puedo dar es mi trabajo, mis obras para mis hijos.
