Orgullosa de ser músico

Ayer fue una tarde hermosa en el Museo Provincial Vicente García. Realicé mi espacio “Sábado de Concierto” en la que fuera la primera sala de conciertos de Las Tunas.
Este espacio está pensado con la idea de rescatar el gusto por nuestra música clásica y la literatura cubana.
Realizo el espacio todos los cuartos sábados de cada mes, a las 4:00 pm. El encuentro de ayer estuvo dedicado a nuestro apóstol nacional José Martí.

Fue una tarde llena de música cubana y con anécdotas y poemas de y sobre Martí.
Como siempre abrí el espacio interpretando un arreglo propio de la obra La bayamesa, de Céspedes y Formaris.

Pero no estuve sola. Conmigo se presentaron la cantante Martha Borrell Catalá, el Cuarteto de Guitarras “Sultasto”

las estudiantes Dana García Rodríguez (de piano) y Keila María Pérez Guerrero (de Tres), y el escritor Abel Guelmes Roblejo (@abelarte), quien leyó textos del Maestro a quien homenajeamos.

De ahí mi orgullo de ser músico y de ser músico cubana. A través de mi música puedo homenajear a aquellos a quienes respeto y admiro.

Al mismo tiempo, comparto el escenario con artistas increíbles y todos disfrutamos de la mejor música cubana.
Ojalá y algún día podamos compartir juntos la escena. Sería un honor y verdadero motivo de orgullo.

Yesterday was a beautiful afternoon at the Vicente García Provincial Museum. I held my “Sábado de Concierto” space in what was the first concert hall in Las Tunas.
This space is designed with the idea of ​​rescuing the taste for our classical music and Cuban literature.
I hold the space every fourth Saturday of every month, at 4:00 pm. Yesterday's meeting was dedicated to our national apostle José Martí.

It was an afternoon full of Cuban music and anecdotes and poems by and about #Martí.
As always, I opened the space by performing my own arrangement of the work La bayamesa, by Céspedes and Formaris.

But I was not alone. With me performed the singer Martha Borrell Catalá, the Guitar Quartet “Sultasto”

the students Dana (piano) and Keila (Tres), and the writer Abel Guelmes Roblejo (@abelarte), who read texts by the Maestro whom we honor.

Hence my pride in being a musician and in being a Cuban musician. Through my #music I can pay tribute to those whom I respect and admire.

At the same time, I share the stage with incredible artists and we all enjoy the best Cuban #music.
Hopefully one day we can share the stage together. It would be an honor and a real source of pride.
