Hive Open Mic #135 | 🛸 Handpan Flow by Elliptique
Hello dear Hive Open Mic Community,
this week I could finally make a new Open Mic entry to this weeks topic. ❤️
I listened to some of all your other entries and then grabbed my Handpan and recorded this video. 🛸
You probably see all the white stickers on my Handpan... 🎵 I put them on and wrote the notes on it. Mostly I just play Handpan alone and totally by ear. I know which notes sound good together. But when I play with outher people I have to know which notes are where and which chords I can play on the Handpan. I want to learn a bit more about music theory and harmonies, so with these stickers I can immediately figure out which notes are in which chord. It looks a bit funny but helps me understanding the harmonies better :D

Hehe, thank you, yeah some people say it is the instrument of the gods (I mean look at the UFO shape 😃) But I guess any instrument can be "from the gods" if you play it with passion :D
Yes, in fact, I have seen real UFOs. ;)

Thank you so much! Yeah it's a pretty new instrument, it's getting more common but in some places it is hard to find a good maker because the good quality Handpans are all hand made. 😉🖐
