Hello community, greetings and blessings to friends and colleagues. “Vibes” is underway and it is a joy to be on board.

The song I am sharing with you today was not really planned, something simply made the melodies and lyrics of “El Viajero” come back to life in my memory, a song that I treasure with all my heart and that represents many important things to me.

“El Viajero” is a fictional story, like a kind of adventure about the search for the miraculous waters of a spring. Seen literally, I love the adventure that the character undertakes, who, with some hardships, but without looking back, heads towards the place that could be his salvation. On the other hand, seen in a more symbolic way, the bittersweet ending of this song reminds me that there are not always happy endings, unfortunately that is how it is, life, our stories, are made of beautiful adventures, disappointments and lessons.

Musically, this song does not have a great variety of chords, since the greatest weight is in the lyrics; between interludes there are certain vocal harmonies that were already there for the main voice, however, for the second voice, all the arrangements are recent, designed especially for this version of the song that I share with you.

He left carrying fragments

Without looking back, he climbed a hill
And at the top he found a bridge,
Towards the other end of the river,
And he walked in the shadows

He didn't meet anyone, there were no people,
There was no fright, he didn't find
An excuse to return home
But, each time he weighed less,
The sack was lighter.

He crossed the desert and the thick
Rainforests, he camped without fire,
He contemplated a canvas of stars
And he wished... He fantasized...
He wanted to die, he wanted to make amends,
He wanted to live.

When he reached the spring
Of miraculous waters, he submerged his sores,
His sadness, his wounds, but no,
There was no miracle that could save him.
