Visiting Concertgebouw in Amsterdam
Hey everyone, I hope you enjoyed your weekend and made some positive experiences! In my new post I would like to share an experience with you which I made in Amsterdam I am happy if you like my contribution.
When I was in Amsterdam in the Rijksmuseum, I explored the area a bit more and walked past the Concertgebouw, which is one of the most famous concert houses in the city, which has even made an international reputation. It is located rather on the edge of the city centre and has even been considered a royal landmark for several decades, which inspires tens of thousands of visitors every year and it is not without reason that the country puts a lot of effort into the care of this important cultural heritage. Concertgebouw was built during the 19th century in the style of Neoclassicism and the hall is particularly known for its lively acoustics, which is why it is sometimes even referred to as one of the best concert halls in the world because of this sound spectacle.
The breathtaking sound can be attributed to various factors and on the one hand it was designed in such a way that the frequencies are evenly distributed throughout the room and already during the construction a lot was calculated so that there are no corners in the room in which the sounds could be disturbed, but a large part was nevertheless left to chance. In themselves, the sounds here are extremely clear and soothing and some of the special measures that have been taken for this are unique in every respect and it was one of the best experiences for me so far to enjoy classical music. As I have noticed, the building was also renovated more often in the past, but every time they worked meticulously so that the unique acoustics were not influenced.
The funny thing was that I was not planned to attend a concert here and when I walked by spontaneously, I asked for a guided tour and courteously the employee told me that I can even attend a concert that starts in an hour and so I had a perfect program for the evening and bought a ticket right away. The concert lasted a few hours and during the show there were some breaks in which free drinks could be ordered and during the break I did a little tour through the interior of the building to look at some of the paintings that hang here. The orchestra that played here was masterful and here various performances by different artists take place at regular intervals and the special thing is also that the operators always strive to support young people and so students sometimes get discounts or free admission here. I can only recommend anyone who should be in the city to attend a concert here and so that the visit is not quite as spontaneous, a look at the page should be taken before to know the exact program or the availability of the tickets.
Thank you very much for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new and like my post! I captured these pictures with my iPhone 16.

Thanks for using @worldmappin 😘
What beautiful pictures! That must have been an incredible place to visit and enjoy the concert as well. I've never visited that site before, I may have passed it by before, now I wish I would have taken the time to see it. How very cool!
For me, it all happened rather spontaneously and I was really happy that a concert took place shortly in evening. I can only recommend you to go here the next time you are in the city and are looking for an evening program :)
