Blacksmith and Music
Good day dear Hive community, first of all I would like to wish you all a pleasant day and hope you are all well! Today I would like to talk about an interesting legend that revolves around the origin of music and hope you can learn something new.
Here are some pictures that I have created with the help of artificial intelligence and represent a blacksmith and according to legends, a blacksmith with the frequencies of his hammer once inspired the Greek philosopher Pythagoras to create the monochord. The monochord forms one of the most important basics of the overtones and is an important part of the origins of music and there are various legends about the origins of music and several of them are associated with the blacksmith. One day, when Pythagoras passed a forge, he once heard the harmonious sounds produced by the hammer that meets metal and he took this opportunity to enter the forge and watched the blacksmith a little closer at work. He found out that the hammer hits produced different pitches which could be measured by the weight of the hammer and on this basis he started his research on the topic. He examined the certain frequency ratios and was able to divide them into octaves, fifths and quarts and he researched this on the basis of the hammer hits on different metals with different lengths.
According to the legends, Pythagoras had gone down in history at certain times as the inventor of music and the first traditions of this legend date back to the 6th century BC. In a completely different legend from the Middle Ages, the invention of music also comes from a blacksmith and there are also some forges in Africa which have also been associated with music and singing. Again and again, stories associated with the blacksmith and music can be found in different legends and cultures around the globe. The frequencies that the hammer generates when it hits metal were also associated with harmonious and even healing properties and some instruments were also produced by the blacksmiths since ancient times. If you are interested in the history of blacksmiths in general and would like to learn more about it, I can also recommend this article here from me where I have already gone into more detail.

It is the same way that earlier people used to make their own instruments for music and did enjoy the music.
