No sé como empezó. Ni en qué momento apareció y nisiquiera porque se entremetió en nuestros gustos. Lo único que si sé es que llegó para invadirnos y ser parte de nuestras vidas...
Uno creció escuchando los Discos de Vinilo o LP (Long Play) de nuestros padres. En mi caso, era escuchar mucha música llanera Folclórica. Ahí fue donde conocí a Reynaldo Armas, Luis Silva, Reyna Lucero, Francisco Montoya y en lo Pop a un joven muy talentoso: Michael Jackson. De algún forma y por aquellas cosas del destino, conocí personalmente en conciertos a los artistas nombrados, menos al último por razones obvias.

De algún forma y por aquellas cosas del destino, conocí personalmente en conciertos a los artistas nombrados, menos al último por razones obvias.

En ese entonces no era como ahora que ibas a Spotify o YouTube y colocabas el nombre del artista y aparecía todo el cancionero. A principios de los años 90 la radio era la que mandaba. Escuchaba uno algún espacio radial y tenía que uno cruzar los dedos para que colocaran alguna canción o podía uno sorprenderse con lo nuevo.
Con la evolución de lo digital en música y esas cosas de adelanto del tiempo, fue que hizo la aparición del CD o el Disco Compacto.
Y uno se decantaba por hacer el esfuerzo de adquirir alguna obra, y si el cantante era muy bueno. Quería uno tener la discografía o el disco de éxitos. Llegaba uno del Liceo o del High School, audífonos al oído y mientras se repasaba alguna clase, se liberaba estrés en medio del mar musical de las radios en casa.
En ese entonces no era como ahora que ibas a Spotify o YouTube y colocabas el nombre del artista y aparecía todo el cancionero. A principios de los años 90 la radio era la que mandaba. Franco de Vita, con "Te amo" "El buen perdedor" "El norte del sur" leyendas de obras que hoy en en día son recordadas.
Nada mejor en diciembre que escuchar la Serie 32 de Guaco, un grupo que modernizó la propuesta de la gaita tradicional Venezolana con la inclusión de nuevos elementos con "Un detalle en falso" "Sentimiento Nacional" "Las craqueñas" Desde México un joven Cristian Castro, nos deslumbraba con un estilo particular y con obras como "No podrás" "Agua Nueva" "Nunca voy a olvidarte" entre muchas otras...

Por lo general, la Serie 32 venían en dos discos compactos repletos de mucha música y era infinidad la cantidad de artistas que venían en ese formato. Los discos originales eran más u menos costosos. Uno podía comprar algunos y otros eran copias más baratas que también podíamos complementar con aquello de intercambiar o quitar prestado alguno.
En mi pueblo, había una tienda musical llamada "Era Musical" la cual uno podía comprar CDs y si uno tenía oportunidad de salir de viaje, al interior del país o a Caracas. Las tiendas musicales como "Recordland" ofrecían mucha variedad musical. Que tiempos aquellos...
Hoy YouTube y muchas plataformas musicales te brindan la experiencia de ver gran mayoría de la "Serie 32" de la cual desconozco si aún la siguen produciendo; pero me conformo con lo poco que encuentro en red. Mientras; brindo por la vida y los buenos recuerdos presentes en alma y corazón... Hasta la próxima. Dios les bendiga...
