Cuando fui niño mi madre siempre intento que yo formara parte de alguna actividad extracurricular y muchas de ellas fue la música. También practiqué muy niño el karate y a mis 9 años empecé a jugar beisbol en el que no me fue nada mal. Participé dos veces en la selección de mi ciudad en las competencias nacionales. A mis 40 años puedo decir que muchas de estas actividades formaron quien soy hoy. Y a lo que voy es que cuando escuchamos a otra persona preguntándose si la música ayuda en el desarrollo de un niño, le puedo decir con mucha seguridad que sí. Es una de las máximas herramientas que nos regala la vida y nos obsequió Dios.

When I was a child my mother always tried to get me to take part in some extracurricular activity and many of them were music. I also practiced karate as a child and when I was 9 years old I started playing baseball and I did not do badly at all. I participated twice in the national team of my city in national competitions. At 40 years old I can say that many of these activities shaped who I am today. And what I am getting at is that when we hear someone else asking if music helps in the development of a child, I can say with great confidence that it does. It is one of the greatest tools that life gives us and that God gave us.

De hecho mi hijo tuvo su primer cuatro venezolano a sus 5 años dado que el me veía ver tocar la guitarra a su tío tocar el bajo, sentíamos su curiosidad y quisimos obsequiarle ese detalle entre los dos. Hubo un tiempo que en la escuela donde estudiaba mi hijo ofrecían música como materia educativa y en muchos colegios por lo menos de mi ciudad han venido retomando eso, tener la música como desarrollo mental para el estudiante, el niño. Mi segunda hija, pertenece a esta nueva generación de recuperación del arte en la ciudad formando parte del coro de su colegio. Ella lo disfruta muchísimo y lo que me da mucha risa es que como ella ve y oye que yo practico mucho cantando a Capella, ella hace lo mismo y a veces ya ni nos entendemos ja ja ja…

A lo mejor se preguntarán porque hablo de esto, y créanme, yo tampoco lo sé. Lo que sí, es que he visto esta iniciativa para hablar de esas anécdotas y presente que vivo. Es más, me divierto escribiendo cada palabra y eso no me parece que esté mal. Diría mi abuela: Hablando como radio loco. En fin, vayamos al grano. Estamos en otra semana de un nuevo TTT y es el momento de seguir compartiendo aquellos clásicos, nuevas bandas, excelentes talentos. Pero hoy me voy a los 2000 y para aquel Mtv que muchos extrañamos. A ver si recuerdan estas canciones y coméntame si te llegaste a vacilar estos clásicos porque así son, clásicos de la música.

Sí, de seguro dirás tantas de Backstreet Boys y es que esta particularmente me gustaba. No era de escucharlos mucho. Mi hermana era una gran fan de ellos pero recuerdo que este fue uno de los videos más pedido en los 100 de Mtv. El video siempre me llamó la atención. La escenografía, los efectos, la creatividad visual, todo muy bien diseñado. Listo para ser un nuevo éxito de la agrupación.

Yes, I'm sure you'll say so many Backstreet Boys and I particularly liked this one. I wasn't much of a listener. My sister was a big fan of them but I remember this was one of the most requested videos on Mtv's 100. The video always caught my attention. The set design, the effects, the visual creativity, all very well designed. Ready to be a new hit for the group.

Yo estaba en esos momentos aun experimentando con el rock y una de esas bandas que luego de conocer por ejemplo a Korn, Coal Chamber o Pantera, esto es una banda para niños ja ja ja... Embuste, me vacilé mucho la banda de hecho, me reí mucho cuando la busqué para recordarla. Realmente era una banda de niños ja ja ja...

Debemos entender que ser adolescente es un peligro para la humanidad. Es la etapa más candela y donde dejaremos gran parte de nosotros. Como retar o ser retado a correr desnudo en cualquier lugar. Solo hacia falta estar en un lugar para ser retado con lo que blink-182 nos enseñó en, What's My Age Again? Gracias a Dios solo fue una vez que asumí el reto ja ja ja... Mejor buscar la manera de borrar esa parte de la cinta y mientras tanto, súbanle un poco al volumen para cerrar con broche de oro...

We must understand that being a teenager is a danger to humanity. It is the hottest stage and where we will leave a great part of ourselves.
