Bienvenidos una vez más a este recorrido musical de todos los martes. Una auténtica iniciativa del amigo @ablaze donde nos permitimos ofrecer otras nuevas canciones, hablar de aquellas bandas o artistas que nos gusten o, por qué no, recordar buenos clásicos del mundo musical. En este caso nos iremos a 1999 cuando el rock tuvo una gran influencia en los jóvenes de aquellos años. Es para mí un gusto aprovechar esta iniciativa y compartir desde otro punto de vista este importante arte.
Welcome once again to this musical tour every Tuesday. An authentic initiative of our friend @ablaze where we allow ourselves to offer other new songs, talk about those bands or artists that we like or, why not, remember good classics of the musical world. In this case we will go to 1999 when rock had a great influence on the young people of those years. It is a pleasure for me to take advantage of this initiative and share from another point of view this important art.
Cuando hablo del rock mi corazón latín con mayor ritmo. Gran parte de mi adolescencia estuve influenciado por este género que sin duda alguna ha marcado un antes y después. El rock aunque no lo crean sigue vivo pero constantemente es víctima de las grandes basuras que hoy en día las casas discográficas nos ofrecen. No sé qué le ha pasado al mundo y sus gustos musicales. Ya he estado por creer que el cerebro humano en vez de seguir desarrollándose se quedó pensando tal cual se quedaría ahorita un viajo procesador cuando le colocas algún software actualizado. ¿Se imaginan aquel círculo dando vueltas en la pantalla? Así mismo le lo imagino yo. En fin, no cabe duda que en la actualidad es más la basura que se vende y se consume.
When I talk about rock my heart beats faster. Much of my adolescence I was influenced by this genre that undoubtedly has marked a before and after. Rock, believe it or not, is still alive but it is constantly victim of the great garbage that today's record companies offer us. I don't know what has happened to the world and its musical tastes. I was about to believe that the human brain, instead of continuing to develop, kept on thinking the same way that a traveler's processor would think when you put some updated software on it. Can you imagine that circle spinning on the screen? That's how I imagine it. Anyway, there is no doubt that nowadays more and more junk is sold and consumed.
También influye mucho la crianza del niño o adolescente. Inconvenientemente es así, recordemos que los niños toman como ejemplo lo que ven u oyen para crecer y si le estamos ofreciendo mediocridad, eso es lo que aprenderán. Una de las maneras de que ese adolescente pueda crecer con un cerebro bastante nutrido de calidad es estudiar música. Eso ayuda mucho a la educación de un niño y no lo digo yo, sabemos que hay estudios que lo certifican. De hecho también está comprobado que estimulamos a un feto cuando le colocamos por ejemplo obras de Mozart y no como mi vecina que le pone Karol G y además se pone a bailar. En fin, pobre criatura ja ja ja...
The upbringing of the child or adolescent also has a great influence. Para muchos padres tampoco no es fácil aceptar que su hijo sea un fanático al Rock. Algunos padres consideran este género una mala influencia para sus hijos. Y esos mismo padres los que consideran mejor estos nuevos "ritmos" de ahora. Veamos algunas diferencias de un género y del otro. Con el Rock muchos se emocionan a estudiar música, aprender inglés, a conocer la historia del rock la cual sabemos que es bastante larga. De hecho fue este mismo género fue quien incentivo a mucho más a amar la música. Bueno, seguimos. Ahora, ¿Qué aprendemos de estos nuevos géneros musicales? Insultos, discriminación a la mujer, incentivar el abuso infantil, jóvenes con lenguajes inapropiado, etc... Como siempre digo, esta es solo mi humilde opinión. Ustedes tendrán la suya y es totalmente aceptable. Somos humanos y con diferentes maneras de pensar. Es el libre albedrío.
For many parents it is also not easy to accept that their child is a fan of Rock. Some parents consider this genre a bad influence on their children. And those same parents consider these new “rhythms” of today to be better. Let's look at some differences of one genre and the other. Por ejemplo, mis padres desacreditaban toda la música que escuchaba. Como no recordar cuando mi madre llegaba a casa y me pedía a gritos que le bajara el volumen del televisor cuando apenas estaba a 10 o máximo 15 porque sabía que a ellos no le gustaba. Bueno, a mi madre. Mi padre muchas veces me habla de los Kiss, Queen y hasta de la vieja Metallica. Pero curiosamente, era solo cuando estábamos solo en casa. Mi papá aprendió hablar inglés gracias al rock. Él me dijo que como quería saber lo que decían las canciones necesitaba aprender el idioma y fíjense que para aquellos años, no estaban todas las oportunidades que tiene hoy un adolescente para aprender inglés y aun así, muchos como mi padre lo hicieron. Hoy quiero recordar con ustedes algunas de esas canciones que escuchaba y que a mí mamá no les agradaba. Empecemos diciendo los 10 más pedidos MTV. Démosle volumen a la música.

Como no recordar estos tres amigo que se burlaban de las boybands de la época. Blink es un grupo que muchos amaban por su irreverencia, su locura y por supuesto su música. De seguro te sentiras de 15 o menos cuando escuchemos All The Small Things y este fresco video que fue tan popular.

Uno de esos temas que esperaba que sonara en MTV era este, Nookie de Limp bizkit. Este si que me hice ponerle todo el volumen justo en este momento. Total, ya no tengo quien me diga: Hijo bájale el volumen! Tuve una chaqueta pero muy parecida a la que usa Fred Durst en el video. Me agradó mucho como el artista supe llevar ese sentimiento de fractura por una relación fallida. El video ni se diga, estuvo a la altura. Recordemos este estupendo video.
One of those tracks I was hoping would play on MTV was this one, Nookie by Limp bizkit. This one really made me turn it up full volume right about now. So now I have no one to tell me: Son, turn it down! I had a jacket but very similar to the one worn by Fred Durst in the video. I really liked how the artist knew how to carry that feeling of fracture from a failed relationship. The video, not to mention, was up to the task. Let's remember this great video.
Y como no recordar a los Red Hot Chili Peppers y su Californication. Esta canción marcó un gran regreso de la banda estadounidense. Como no recordar aquellas imágenes de videojuegos, los magníficos efectos especiales, y sobre todo la guitarra del gran John Frusciante. Yo creo que no deberías de bajarle volumen a tus parlantes. Pues aún sigue lo bueno pero a cargo de los Red Hot Chili Peppers y Californication

A mis papás tampoco les gustaba nada de lo que yo escuchaba en el 99 jajaja, pero fue un año muy importante para mí, musicalmente hablando porque descubrí Mtv, el rock, el pop y mucho de lo que ahora atesoro en mi vida. La semana pasada precisamente hablé de este año en #ttt y creo que lo seguiré haciendo como lo prometí entonces, porque realmente hay mucho en esa onda de fin de siglo y año 2000 que marcó pauta en mí y en muchos, incluyéndote...
Las tres bandas que compartes aquí las amo, pero la que más detestaban mis papás era Limp Bizkit por su sonido agresivo 🤣 Nookie fue el primer video rock que llegó a mi vida cuando descubrí Mtv y mi canción favorita de ellos, junto a My Generation del 2000. A Blink los amo todavía, ese sonido es lo máximo y eran muy divertidos, álbum tras álbum, aunque Enema of the State es patrimonio de la humanidad 😅 Pensé que Californication era del 2000, o por lo menos en esa era lo recuerdo, pero sé que este fue y sigue siendo uno de mis videos musicales favoritos, también estaba descubriendo el Play Station y se veía tal cual jajaja. Somos hermanos separados al nacer jajaja... Para muchos esos años fueron vitales para su crecimiento físico y emocional. No cabe duda que son muchísimas la anécdota que puedo contar y estoy seguro que tú igual.

Este post fue una máquina del tiempo para mi jaja... en esta lista me faltó Its My Life de Bon Jovi y alguna de los Backstreet Boys, esos eran fijos. Pero si, lo que hizo Blink fue espectacular y por acá siempre seré fan de Limp Bizkit; que buena epoca la verdad. MTV fue pionero, la música llegó a muchos sitios gracias a ellos.

Red Hot Chili Peppers es una tremenda banda sin duda! En esa época era normal que los padres odiaran estos géneros musicales je je
