No cabe duda que la música ha ido evolucionando para bien o para mal, pero es así. Algunas bandas han aprovechado la tecnología y agregado nuevos sonidos a sus producciones dando un toque mucho más moderno a su propuesta y algunos otros artistas han aprovechado la tecnología para todo lo contrario, la han usado para resumir su trabajo en un arte sin sentido, sin alma, sin razón. Es como he pensado de la IA, personalmente creo que puede ser una gran herramienta pero siempre y cuando sepamos usar de ella y no abusar al punto que pierdes toda tu originalidad.

There is no doubt that music has been evolving for better or for worse, but that's how it is. Some bands have taken advantage of technology and added new sounds to their productions giving a much more modern touch to their proposal and some other artists have taken advantage of technology for the opposite, they have used it to summarize their work in an art without sense, without soul, without reason. That's how I have thought about AI, personally I think it can be a great tool but as long as we know how to use it and not abuse it to the point that you lose all your originality.

Lo que les traigo hoy es sumamente curioso y es que creo que aún nadie se había atrevido a tocar esas viejas fibras de su niñez. Lo curioso es que siempre tengo una anécdota para estos post y es que como la música siempre está con nosotros suelen pasar cosas que nos despiertan esos recuerdos. Por ejemplo, les cuento cómo llegué hoy a escribir y compartir estas antiguas canciones.

En donde trabajo, se contrató un mecánico para reparar el motor de la embarcación donde trabajo y al parecer siempre tiene un cuento raro, una respuesta inadecuada o un gesto de inseguridad a la respuesta. Donde escuché a mi jefe diciendo: empezaron los cuentos de la cripta. Para los venezolanos es una expresión de terror, de que algo no está bien. Bueno, así lo entendí yo capaz esté equivocado y no sería algo extraño 😂

Where I work, a mechanic was hired to repair the engine of the boat where I work and apparently always has a strange story, an inadequate response or a gesture of insecurity to the answer. Where I heard my boss saying: the stories of the crypt began. For Venezuelans it is an expression of terror, that something is not right. Well, that's how I understood it, maybe I'm wrong and it wouldn't be something strange.

Ahora bien, no estoy hablando de la serie venezolana o aquella estadounidense. No, hablo del grupo de DJ puertorriqueño que se unieron para crear Te Noise. De seguro algunos que me están leyendo lo recordarán y estarán recogiendo las cédulas del piso. ¡Pero ya va! Aún no ¿recuerdan a Sandy-Papo? O aquel negro catire que cantaba "booooooomba" 🤣 ok creo que ya la pueden recoger del piso.

Now, I am not talking about the Venezuelan series or the American one. No, I'm talking about the Puerto Rican DJ group that got together to create Te Noise. I'm sure some of you who are reading this will remember it and will be picking up the floor cards. But it's coming! Don't you remember Sandy-Papo yet? Or that black guy who sang "booooooomba" 😂ok I guess you can pick it up off the floor.

Aquí es donde retomo un poco lo que decía al principio, cuando escuchamos estas viejas canciones en comparación a la nueva generación, no cabe duda que en la vieja existía muchísima más creatividad que ahora y eso es evidente. De hecho hemos conseguido éxitos musicales con un "Pum Pum abajo y arriba" y si acaso, una frase más. En fin, no sé si llamar estos nuevos géneros de reguetón evolución así que cerremos este tema aquí.

Here is where I go back to what I said at the beginning, when we listen to these old songs in comparison to the new generation, there is no doubt that in the old generation there was much more creativity than now and that is evident. In fact we have achieved musical successes with a "Pum Pum down and up" and if anything, one more phrase. Aun cuando las cosas no están muy bien por acá con los problemas para obtener los recursos para las sesiones de quimioterapia de mi mamá, no podemos perder la alegría y ese buen humor que nos ayuda a opacar por momentos esas preocupaciones y molestias que nos conseguimos en el día día. Así que quisiera con buen humor hacerlos, quizás, parar de sus sillas y bailar al ritmo de estas viejas canciones.

Even when things are not so good around here with the problems to obtain the resources for my mom's chemotherapy sessions, we cannot lose the joy and that good mood that helps us to overshadow for moments those worries and annoyances that we get in the day to day. So with good humor I would like to make you, perhaps, get up from your chairs and dance to the rhythm of these old songs.
