Bienvenidos nuevamente a este espacio musical que cada martes nos une mucho más. Acá hemos hablado de muchas canciones, éxitos y por supuesto muchos clásicos. Rock, pop, balada... Hemos compartido muchas expectativas y anécdotas personales que por supuesto, forman parte de nuestra historia.
Welcome back to this musical space that every Tuesday brings us closer together. Here we have talked about many songs, hits and of course many classics. Rock, pop, ballads... We have shared many expectations and personal anecdotes that of course, are part of our history.
Hoy nuestro protagonista será nuevamente el pasado, aquella época donde aun la música tenía un profundo respeto por sus oyentes, por el arte, por el mundo. Muchos géneros musicales se posicionaron en la década de los 90 y principios del 2000 entre ellos el Rock, Electropop, folk, hip-hop o electrónica. Vaya, cuando menciono electrónica me llegan muchos recuerdos del dúo británico The Chemical Brothers. Wow... Estos no estaban en la lista de este martes de TTT pero los tendré en cuenta para la próxima semana. Bastante que los escuché y disfruté.
Today our protagonist will be again the past, that time when music still had a deep respect for its listeners, for art, for the world. Many musical genres were positioned in the 90's and early 2000's among them Rock, Electropop, folk, hip-hop or electronic. Wow, when I mention electronica I get a lot of memories of the British duo The Chemical Brothers. Wow... These weren't on this Tuesday's TTT list but I'll keep them in mind for next week. I quite listened to them and enjoyed them.
Hacer un reencuentro de aquellas épocas solo me confirma que lo que muchos de nosotros sentimos, es difícil de aceptar. No es lo mismo y no lo será y sé y me llena de alegría saber que aún queda una porción de buen arte en el mundo. Como he mencionado en anteriores ocasiones, en mi adolescencia me incliné mucho más al género del rock o estilos muy similares pero también habían otros géneros bastantes interesantes. Si, como ya los he mencionado anteriormente, al principio del 2000 se posicionó mucho el rock y con él, géneros musicales que aún hoy siguen estando en muchas listas musicales. Imposibles de olvidar...
Doing a reunion of those times just confirms to me what many of us feel, it's hard to accept. It is not the same and it will not be and I know and it fills me with joy to know that there is still a portion of good art in the world. As I have mentioned in previous occasions, in my adolescence I was much more inclined to the rock genre or very similar styles but there were also other genres that were quite interesting. Yes, as I have mentioned before, at the beginning of the 2000's rock was very well positioned and with it, musical genres that even today are still in many music lists. Impossible to forget...
No tengo duda que estás canciones que escucharemos hoy les traerán buenos recuerdos tantos como los que he revivido yo en estos momentos. No cabe duda que si fuera presidente de MTV hiciera borrón y cuenta nueva y diera un giro total a toda la tendencia musical de hoy en día. Si, les aconsejo lo mismo de siempre, subir al máximo el volumen y que los vecinos se unan a esta nueva entrega del TTT ya que les aseguro no se arrepentirán. Subamos sin miedo el volumen y empecemos a disfrutar de estos buenos clásicos del 2000.
I have no doubt that these songs that we will listen to today will bring back as many good memories as those that I have relived in these moments. There is no doubt that if I were president of MTV I would wipe the slate clean and give a total turn to the whole musical trend of today. Yes, I advise you the same as always, turn up the volume and have the neighbors join this new installment of TTT as I assure you that you will not regret it. Let's turn up the volume without fear and start enjoying these good classics of 2000.

Hace algunas semanas se dio a conocer algo de la fabulosa Nelly Furtado lo cual no fue para muchos de sus seguidores algo acotado. Lo que a mí parecer es absurdo catalogar o discriminar a una persona por su apariencia. Nelly desde sus inicios fue una mujer valiente y eso lo demostró en muchas de sus canciones. La misma fue una de las cantantes más reconocidas en el panorama musical en la década del 2000 yo fui fan de muchas de sus obras en especial en esta que hoy les voy a compartir la cual está bastante acorde a lo recién ocurrido con la artista. A few weeks ago the fabulous Nelly Furtado was unveiled which was not for many of her followers a little bit of a shocker. In my opinion it is absurd to categorize or discriminate against a person because of her appearance. Nelly from her beginnings was a brave woman and she demonstrated that in many of her songs. She was one of the most recognized singers in the music scene in the 2000's. I was a fan of many of her works, especially this one that I am going to share with you today, which is quite in line with what has just happened with the artist. Let's listen to "Turn Off The Light".
Otra de las mujeres que escuché y llevo conmigo siempre es la fantástica Dido. Esta fabuloso artista nos conmovió muchísimo con sus canciones y sobre todo por esa sutil y poderosa voz. Debo confesarles que empecé a escuchar mucho más de ella cuando la encontré en uno de los vídeos del rapero Eminem. ¿Sí, se acuerdan de Stan? Su aparición en este videoclip fue esencial y le dio mucha fuerza a la producción tanto visual como en lo musical. ¡Gran video! No es el que compartiré acá. Quiero más bien ofrecerles algo netamente de ella y porque no, "Here With Me" cuyo trabajo es excepcional y es una bonita canción para escuchar. Si pues, es una canción que nos habla un poco de cómo enfrentar la soledad cuando ese ser querido no está. Escuchemos...
Another woman I listened to and carry with me always is the fantastic Dido. This fabulous artist moved us so much with her songs and especially with her subtle and powerful voice. I must confess that I started listening to her a lot more when I found her in one of rapper Eminem's videos. Yes, do you remember Stan? His appearance in this music video was essential and gave a lot of strength to the production both visually and musically. Great video! It's not the one I will share here. I want to offer you something purely from her and why not, "Here With Me" whose work is exceptional and is a nice song to listen to. Yes, it's a song that tells us a little bit about how to face loneliness when that loved one is not there. Let's listen...
Ahora bien, una de las bandas que más escuché en aquella época fue la fantástica banda estadounidense de Nu Metal llamada Staind. Yo sigo amando esta banda y de hecho en reiteradas ocasiones son la primera opción para escuchar cuando me encuentro trabajando sentado en la Pc, o cuando me monto en el carro y mi destino es incierto. Esta es una muy buena banda que vale la pena recordar. Tal como me dijo mi madre una vez, por lo menos acá no hay gritos, solo pasión. Escuchemos esta fantástica banda así que ya saben, no se preocupen por el vecino suban el volumen a su máximo nivel.
Now, one of the bands I listened to the most at that time was the fantastic American Nu Metal band called Staind. I still love this band and in fact on repeated occasions they are the first choice to listen to when I find myself working sitting at the PC, or when I get in the car and my destination is uncertain. This is a very good band worth remembering. As my mother once told me, at least here there is no screaming, only passion. Let's listen to this fantastic band so you know, don't worry about the neighbor, turn up the volume to its maximum level.
