Que puede decirles, hoy es otro martes de TTT y otro día para seguir disfrutando de la buena música que podemos encontrar en las diferentes plataformas digitales existentes que se encargan de la distribución de la música de forma digital pero si les digo algo, extraño muchísimo ir a una tienda de disco, escoger mientras escuchabas algún disco en específico. Era algo mucho más humano, algo que llenaba de alegría nuestras vidas. Hoy es solo recuerdos cargados de nostalgia pero así es todo, no podemos detener la evolución y el crecimiento de las cosas pues indiscutiblemente todo va a ir cambiando para bien o para mal. Así es el ritmo de la vida.

What can I say? Today is another TTT Tuesday and another day to keep enjoying the great music we can find on the various digital platforms that distribute music online. But let me tell you something: I really miss going to a record store and browsing while listening to a specific album. It was a much more human experience, something that filled our lives with joy. Today, it’s just memories filled with nostalgia, but that’s just how it is we can’t stop the evolution and growth of things, because undeniably, everything is going to keep changing, for better or for worse. That’s just the rhythm of life.

Hay artistas que siguen construyendo obras musicales increíbles y algunos en un formato como solista. Y es que con tanta tecnología hoy en día, todo es posible para el artista y si tiene una creatividad infinita lo que podemos esperar de ellos son increíbles proyectos involucrando indiscutiblemente la tecnología. Creo que hace mucho tiempo compartí con ustedes la música de este cantante pero como la música es un alimento que podemos digerir con calma cuantas veces la consumamos, no está de más recordar lo maravilloso que es el arte cuando la creatividad está al 100%

There are artists who continue to create incredible musical works, some of them as soloists. With all the technology available today, anything is possible for an artist, and if they possess boundless creativity, we can expect them to deliver incredible projects that undeniably incorporate technology. I think I shared this singer’s music with you a long time ago, but since music is nourishment we can savor at our own pace no matter how often we enjoy it, it’s worth remembering just how wonderful art is when creativity is at 100%.

Para mí es un gusto hablarles de Asaf Avidan el cual es un artista realmente fascinante y con algo tan único en la forma en que combina una aparente simplicidad con una profundidad musical y emocional que cubre todo lo que necesitamos para admirar cada uno de sus trabajos. Su voz es ese sello distintivo donde casi andrógina en los registros agudos, con un vibrato y un rasgado que parece venir de otro planeta y aunque hay quienes lo comparan con Janis Joplin o Robert Plant, para mí Asaf es algo muy diferente a ellos lo que lo hace realmente inclasificable e incomparable.

It’s a pleasure for me to tell you about Asaf Avidan, a truly fascinating artist with something so unique in the way he combines apparent simplicity with a musical and emotional depth that encompasses everything we need to appreciate each of his works. His voice is his signature almost androgynous in the high registers, with a vibrato and a rasp that seem to come from another planet. And while some compare him to Janis Joplin or Robert Plant, to me, Asaf is something very different from them, which makes him truly unclassifiable and incomparable.

Una de las grandes virtudes de Asaf es que no necesita sobre producir temas pues sus presentaciones y grabaciones funcionan perfectamente con apenas una guitarra acústica y su voz y es esa economía de recursos la que muchos como yo deberíamos aplicar pero bueno, no todos tenemos la capacidad vocal de Asaf y la manera económica de adquirir tantos pedales que ayuden su creación artística. Pero es esta sencillez lo que lo convierte en una fortaleza.

One of Asaf’s greatest strengths is that he doesn’t need to overproduce his songs; his performances and recordings work perfectly with just an acoustic guitar and his voice. It’s that economy of resources that many of us myself included should emulate. But then again, not all of us have Asaf’s vocal range or the means to afford so many effects pedals to support his artistic creation. Yet it is this simplicity that makes it a strength.

No hay duda que su evolución como artista después de ser líder y cantante de Asaf Avidan & the Mojos con ese folk-rock más eléctrico ha sido muy evidente que fue trabajo como solista fue en acenso tanto que se ha vuelto más introspectivo y experimental elementos que me llaman mucho la atención del artista. Quiero invitarlos a contagiarse con la magia de Asaf eso sí, mantengan la mente abierta porque lo que están por escuchar es algo que de seguro desgarrará sus sentidos de manera que quedaran anonadado por tanta explosión artística.

There’s no doubt that his evolution as an artist after serving as the lead singer and frontman of Asaf Avidan & the Mojos with their more electric folk-rock sound has been very evident. His work as a solo artist has been so compelling that he’s become more introspective and experimental, qualities that really stand out to me about him. I want to invite you to let yourself be swept up in Asaf’s magic just keep an open mind, because what you’re about to hear is sure to overwhelm your senses, leaving you stunned by such an artistic explosion.
