Here we are at Week No 12 already and the theme this week is Pain

My song ICU is a double edged sword -*** I see you*** but also Intensive Care Unit I.C.U

I penned this song a few years ago, pouring my soul into every lyric, and last year, it emerged as a deep house track. When I noticed this week’s theme was “pain,” I knew instantly that this track was the perfect fit. The lyrics resonated profoundly with the theme. I recall the intense, almost unbearable pain in my chest when I first wrote this—genuine heartbreak that seems surreal looking back now. Many of us know this agonising feeling all too well, the excruciating process of healing after losing someone or ending a relationship.

As I crafted the lyrics, I wanted to capture the essence of feeling unseen, while ironically being the one who saw this person more clearly than anyone else. Falling for them plunged me into a whirlpool of heartbreak, leaving me feeling as if I needed to be rushed to the ICU. This song is my raw expression of that pain, a melodic journey through the depths of heartache.

This is just beautiful 🥹. The interpretation was just so perfect and your style of singing the song was just so relatable, I love it and I enjoyed it for everything that it was 🥺.

This was a beautifully produced, well performed, honed,
all too real song that hit close to home
I felt those same emotions deep in my core
Into the inner marrow of my bones

My first true love, we lasted over 3 years
She got into car accident, and I naturally shed tears
But the worst part was when I visited her in the hospital, realizing slowly
That she woke up out of a mini coma, and for over 2 weeks she didn't know me

She literally forgot who I was, and that was painful and devastating
And when she finally came to, she was different, completely changing
And from then we parted ways after I saw her in the ICU
And if I could tell her anything, it would be that,
"You forgot us and my warmth, your eyes are different when I see you
This was a coldhearted break up and you've shown me the Icy You..."

Hope you enjoyed the little memory you inspired out of me

I need a terrace like yours, where I can take advantage of the natural light and especially the colors of that beautiful sky. Your performance is of a high level, emotional, sad, and magical. I congratulate you friend for such beautiful work. When you have all those resources, it is impossible not to impact others. I loved it.
