So good to be back on Vibes! Bummed that I missed week 19 due to travelling but really glad and grateful I got the opportunity to sit down and record my submission for Week 20 and be part of it all again.

This week I performed my single Echoes that I collaborated on with Choujaa & DON7M. It’s a really meaningful song to me because it was written in a time of heightened stress and anxiety where I felt like my thoughts were echoes. It felt like every negative and dark thought I was having was just echoing and repeating itself consistently for days and it was really difficult to get out of this space and back into a positive space, which is the type of person I am. I always do my best to remain positive, see the best in things, the best in situations but at the time of writing this single it was a really difficult period.

Thanks to @lizelle I was able to record my submission from her beautiful and tranquil home in Durban West Natal where I received my inspiration for recording during a very busy schedule

I’m grateful however that it produced a really pretty song and something that is super relatable to pretty much everyone. I have no doubt we all have a bit of imposter syndrome, doubting ourselves and not believing we’re good enough, but we’re lucky as a community to express ourselves through music and help others deal with their pain with healing sounds and relatable lyrics.

So glad you're back on Vibes! 'Echoes' is a beautiful song, and I love the story behind it. I love how you expressed your feelings of anxiety and stress through music.

Haha - yes my mom is also envious that I got to stay with @lizelle - I also met lizelle in Holland last year. My mom is determined to meet her sometime soon ❤️❤️❤️

It's great to see you back on Vibes! It must be a relief to be back after traveling and still be able to join in this week. 'Echoes' sounds very deep and emotional, especially with the story behind its creation. I can feel how those difficult times shaped this song. Hey my legendary friend. So glad that your stay at @lizelle’s home was nothing but spectacular and her being a wonderful host to ease your experience to be able to feel creatively zoned in to perform such a beautiful and profound song.

This piece couldn’t have come at a more significant time, a lot of people are experiencing similar emotions thoughts and feelings, and I can definitely relate to this inner battle like the next person.

Music grants us the ability to express and diffuse that build up of doubt fear and anxiety.

You know the Lord tells us to be anxious for nothing.
For the Lord has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a sound mind.

And what a “sound” mind you have. This was another classic hit from you.

It's impressive how you are very relaxed, and suddenly you release that power of voice.. uff ..masterful as always. On the other hand, it is a great song with a beautiful message...it is interesting that it has a danceable party rhythm, but at the same time with a great background message...I like that a lot. Oh, I love this song, Eden and your voice is so soothing as always. Good to see you back this week.

Being in a positive space helps our mental health and we get to see positive results in our activities. Still, at times, situations plunge us into a negative space that steals our peace of mind, activeness, and happiness, and getting back up is all we seek, the positive space that brings out the best in us.
