Afri-tunes: Let me be Myself by 3 doors down

Music is life to many who are careful to listen to every lyric. Put your ears on the ground and listen to wisdom in each line. I've aligned 3 songs, in them are lessons about life and that's what makes them my favorite. The first is titled

The Night by Avicii

It says, whenever our shadow (support, confidence, hope, etc.) Fades into thin air, there's a possibility we'll be faced with fear but there's one night(moment) that never fades, and it's a moment where you lived your best and a moment where you made an impact.

This is a reminder to live our best while we are young. Old age will come, days when we'll be afraid of what's high and days when the pitcher will be broken at the fountain, we'll only be left with just one thing-memories. So live a life that you'll remember when the doors shall be shut in the streets and the sound of grinding low

The second tune is titled

All of my life by Phil Collins

This song reminds me of my weakness and inability to express myself as well as I want to. We end up thinking too much but end up saying little-it's the nature of humans. The song concluded by saying "I didn't spend the time as I should". It's almost similar with the first tune and this resounds how important it is to do all we want to while we can. He's left with one regret - Not doing what he should have. Why not take advantage of your youthful days and live the life you can now whole you could.

There's a high probability that we'll be lost trying to be like someone else. You'll go astray and be far from who you should have become. But come on, return from the fruitless journey and be yourself. Only until we are ourselves that we can shine, no one can shine brighter in what we can do nor can you shine in being someone else. You're unique in being you, so kill the pain of being someone else and free yourself to be you.
