Roses: A fading beauty (vibes web3 week42 review)

It’s been a hell of a ride for most of the musicians on this platform. Every week seems that way, I guess, and all we want is for our efforts to turn out fruitful. Today, I've been having a look at the various entries and performances of various artists, and they were all good but became even better when I crossed paths with Verbal-D's entry.

It's titled Roses @verbal-d

Here, we see not just music or vibes, but a story embedded in beautiful rap lyrics. There are so many interpretations to this message, but for me, I made an arch on these lyrics—one about the inevitable reality of life. The roses are a symbolic representation of prosperity, success, and achievements amidst our hard efforts and labour on Earth, just as he said, “Woke up to see his hardened labor had a rose in stone.”

We merry in them, these feats; that even mighty men praise us. That's why the artist said, “It would attract and captivate the people on the streets.”

But not for long, because these ephemeral achievements—silvers and gold that have captured the eyes of the world and driven our ego only perish as we leave this world, and this aligns with the statement, “Flashbacks of my life in the last days, cold eyes seeing the visions of all our past ways.”

In the end, when we're gone to answer our Maker, we see all that was before us being played like a movie before our very eyes, and only then would we realize that it was never about earthly achievements but eternity.

So, while our roses bloom, let's not forget God, the people around us, and most importantly, our souls, for we're nothing but tools in the hand of the Creator.

This entry focuses on life as a whole. Beneath the rhymes and flows is a heavy truth we often avoid:to escape the bitter reality and embrace the alternate reality our minds have created.

Beyond Verbal-D's entry is a story ... one that reminds us of true purpose.
