Hello DIYers - 4th Contest Month of 2023!

As you well know, we are a DIY community here on HIVE with the sole aim of supporting DIY creators all around the globe. Within this community we are hosting a monthly contest to encourage and reward great authors out there, and with each contest comes a theme. Because we are fully non-profit and share 100% curation reward with our delegators we have collected a bunch of cool projects and communities who are open to supporting us with the monthly prize pools. This time the great HIVE Music Video Foundation is the partner of this month! And with a special partner comes a special prompt but first let's announce the winners of the contest month of March!

Last month in the theme of TEAPOT we got 26 valid and exciting contest entries and the engagement in the community was amazing. Thank you all for your participation and the interaction in the community! We are looking forward to many more amazing contest months.

The Hive Music Video Foundation wants to connect video producers and musicians on the Hive Blockchain so they can collaborate on their own msuic video projects. The foundations greatest goal is to produce music videos of high quality, helping both sides with resources, planing and developing their ideas and bigger exposure. HMVF functions as a funding platform and network to connect musicians, artists, film makers and producers.

@HMVF wants to give every musician on Hive the opportunity to fulfill their dream of getting their own music video, even if they have limited funds, and every creative the opportunity to be a part of a film project on Hive to build up their portfolio.

Right now, the @HMVF is working on creating a musicians database on Hive. Therefore, they are interviewing Hive musicians to give every single one of them a chance to introduce themselves and get more exposure. If you know any musicians on Hive, reach out to them and tell them about the initiative, so the database and network can grow.

All you have to do is to create a DIY post centering around the prompt of the month.

1 Prompt

This month's prompt is a very special prompt where you can express your full creativity: Music Video Set/Prop! I told you it is a very special theme with which you have a wide variety of things you could make with it. Here are some ideas:

• Video props
  • a magical item which could appear in a music video
  • a beautiful dinner dress covered in red paint (blood)
  • a whole video set diorama
  • ...
    
    
• Video equipment
  • a paper mache camera
  • a diy film light
  • a knitted microphone cover
  • ...
    
    
    

There are infinite number of things you can create and which could be valid for the contest so think out of the box and create your own idea in order to stand out of the masses ;) The more creative you get the higher is the chance of winning!

1. Generally, follow our rules and target niches
2. Make a post with the topic of the month until the 27th of April 2023 (check the posts publishing date for the exact time)
3. Post your article inside of the DIYHUB community
4. Use the tag #diyhmvfcontest for your post
5. Share the link to your HIVE article in the comments of this post
6. You can participate with multiple entries if you want

3 Tips

• To maximize your chances get creative and think outside the box. Create something unique with the prompt and try to avoid the obvious
• use the long time until the deadline to optimize your post as much as you can
• The more details your post contains about the process the better your chances will be
• as you can read in the rules and target niches we only accept processes/tutorials not just posts about the final result
