Hive Music Festival Week 128 - Round 2 // I'd love you to want me (Ukelele and voice cover)

Greetings my dear friends, it is an honor to be in this week 128 / round 2, of course I already on the last day, but I do not like to miss for more than 1 year to these scenarios that opened their arms to me from day one, so of course I will always do everything in my power to participate in the contest.

This time I bring you a theme not very well known perhaps, but it happens that for some time I have been humming a song in my head but do not know its name, long time thinking about it and the reason is because I heard it since I was a little girl at home, I guess we were all once influenced by someone in the family to good musical tastes, my parents loved to listen to the so-called “Chatarritas” and this song I was somewhat recorded, until one day I decided to look for it and I found it, love it and made me have nice childhood memories.

Lyrics

When I saw you standing there
I ′bout fell out my chair
And when you moved your mouth to speak
I felt the blood go to my feet

Now, it took time for me to know
What you tried so not to show
Something in my soul just cries
I see the want in your blue eyes

Baby, I'd love you to want me
The way that I want you
The way that it should be
Mm, baby, you′d love me to want you
The way that I want to
If you'd only let it be

You told yourself years ago
You'd never let your feeling show
The obligation that you made
For the title that they gave

Baby, I′d love you to want me
The way that I want you
The way that it should be
Mm, baby, you′d love me to want you
The way that I want to
If you'd only let it be

Now, it took time for me to know
What you tried so not to show
Now something in my soul just cries
I see the want in your blue eyes

Baby, I′d love you to want me
The way that I want you
The way that it should be
Mm, baby, you'd love me to want you
The way that I want to
If you′d only let it be (oh)

Baby, I'd love you to want me
The way that I want you
The way that it should be
Mm, baby, you′d love me to want you
The way that I want to
If you'd only let it be

This song is called “I'd love you to want me” by an artist called LoBo, released back in 1972, I don't know I was born (laughs), my mother was 10 years old, but the truth is that I never get tired of saying how much I like the music of the last century. Of course, every song in English for me is sometimes a bit of a challenge because I have to try to learn it well without messing up so much, fortunately I have a great English teacher (my husband) who guides me and does not hesitate to tell me things, but little by little I have to improve.

It is a pleasure to bring you this topic with much affection, I do not leave without telling you that I thank God for being here and share with each one of you, a happy weekend.

Excelente Dina.
