YUTA NAKAMOTO (NCT 127) DEPTH Review [ENG/ESP]

Yuta nakamoto es uno de los integrantes de NCT 127 y hace un par de días FINALMENTE sacó su primer álbum como solista DEPTH. Por el estilo de Yuta y por lo poco que sé de él me imaginaba que podría sacar algunas canciones de rock, peo por los cover que he escuchado de él pensaba que también existía la posibilidad de que sacara algo más lento como una balada, el día de hoy por fin escuché su álbum y aquí les dejo mi opinión sobre cada canción.

Yuta nakamoto is one of the members of NCT 127 and a couple of days ago he FINALLY released his first solo album DEPTH. Because of Yuta's style and the little I know about him I imagined that he might release some rock songs, but because of the covers I've heard of him I thought there was also a possibility that he might release something slower like a ballad, today I finally listened to his album and here is my opinion about each song.

1. Last Song

Es bastante irónico que sea la primera canción y tenga ese titulo, pero bueno, es una canción que nos muestra el como lo que hemos vivido hasta ahora nos hace quienes somos y que lo mejor que podemos hacer es aprender de ese pasado, curar nuestras heridas y seguir adelante.

It is quite ironic that it is the first song and it has that title, but well, it is a song that shows us how what we have lived through so far makes us who we are and that the best thing we can do is learn from that past, heal our wounds and move on.

1. OFF THE MASK

Es la canción principal del álbum, nos habla de como Yuta se siente finalmente liberado y nos quiere mostrar esa otra parte de si, esa parte real y sin filtro. Esta canción me impacto mucho desde la primera vez que la escuché, es de mis favoritas del álbum.

It is the main song of the album, it talks about how Yuta finally feels liberated and wants to show us that other part of himself, that real and unfiltered part. This song impacted me a lot since the first time I heard it, it is one of my favorites of the album.

1. Save You

Nos habla sobre esas constantes luchas que podemos tener dentro de nuestra mente, y como nosotros mismos nos podemos sumir en la oscuridad sin poder ver alguna luz, pero que aún así podemos salvarnos y liberarnos.

It tells us about those constant struggles we can have inside our mind, and how we ourselves can plunge into darkness without being able to see any light, but we can still save ourselves and free ourselves.

1. Bad Euphoria

Musicalmente es una de mis canciones favoritas del álbum. La letra nos cuenta el como es la realidad del mundo y que incluso a veces todo se siente algo irreal Y sin importar nada de eso, nos dice que debemos traer nuestra euforia que la vida siga siendo interesante en vez de aburrida.

Musically it is one of my favorite songs on the album. The lyrics tell us what the reality of the world is like and that even sometimes everything feels a little unreal AND regardless of any of that, it tells us that we should bring our euphoria that life remains interesting instead of boring.

1. Prisioner

Otra de mis favoritas sin dudas. En esta canción Yuta nos dice que sabe que no es una persona perfecta y que tan poco intenta serlo, simplemente quiere sentirse libre de ser quien es sin que otros lo juzguen como si hubiera hecho algo malo alguna vez en su vida. Ningún ser humano en totalmente bueno y ninguno es totalmente malo, todos intentamos ser y hacer lo mejor posible pero a veces la sociedad nos presiona demasiado. En definitiva, una joya de canción.

Another one of my favorites without a doubt. In this song Yuta tells us that he knows he is not a perfect person and that he doesn't try to be, he just wants to feel free to be who he is without others judging him as if he has done something wrong in his life. No human being is totally good and no human being is totally bad, we all try to be and do our best but sometimes society puts too much pressure on us. All in all, a gem of a song.

1. Goodbye

Esta canción habla sobre una despedida, pero no porque ya no ames a esa persona si no más bien porque la amas demasiado, lo que lo hace todo aún más fuerte y doloroso, es para un amor imposible, para alguien a quien quieres pero por cuestiones de la vida, sabes que no puedes tener.

This song talks about saying goodbye, but not because you no longer love that person, but rather because you love them too much, which makes everything even stronger and more painful, it is for an impossible love, for someone you love but because of life, you know you can't have them.

1. Butterfly (Depth ver)

Habla sobre una persona que siente que ha sido corrompida por el sistema y trata de volver a sentirse él mismo, sin embargo sabe que todo en la vida es parte de un proceso y eventualmente logrará el éxito que busca y podrá buscar por si mismo esa libertad que tanto desea.

He talks about a person who feels he has been corrupted by the system and tries to feel himself again, however he knows that everything in life is part of a process and eventually he will achieve the success he is looking for and will be able to seek for himself the freedom he desires so much.

Aunque si me esperaba este estilo en la música de Yuta no me esperaba para nada que transmitiera mensajes así, habla mucho sobre lo que pasa en su mente. Desde un principio siempre sentí que Yuta tenía una imagen un poco intimidante y con el tiempo me di cuenta que si es alguien muy fuerte, pero también muy divertido y amable, me gusta mucho que sea alguien que reconozca y muestre cada una de sus lados, eso lo hace una persona muy interesante. Musicalmente estoy segura de que puedo decir que ha sido de mis álbumes favoritos, lo espere desde hace mucho tiempo y no me decepcionó para nada.

Although I expected this style in Yuta's music, I didn't expect him to transmit messages like this at all, he talks a lot about what goes on in his mind. From the beginning I always felt that Yuta had an intimidating image and with time I realized that he is someone very strong, but also very funny and kind, I really like that he is someone who recognizes and shows each of his sides, that makes him a very interesting person. Musically I'm sure I can say that it has been one of my favorite albums, I've been waiting for it for a long time and I wasn't disappointed at all.
