RBD: REBELDE (ESP/ENG)

RBD es lo nombre del grupo mexicano de 5 integrantes (Anahí, Dulce María, Maite Perroni, Alfonso Herrera, Christopher Uckermann y Christian Chávez) que también protagonizaron una novela de 3 temporadas con el nombre REBELDE, el cuál también es el nombre de su primer álbum de estudio. En este post les contaré cuales son mis canciones preferidas de este álbum lanzado en 2004.

RBD is the name of the 5-member Mexican group (Anahi, Dulce Maria, Maite Perroni, Alfonso Herrera, Christopher Uckermann and Christian Chavez) who also starred in a 3-season soap opera called REBELDE, which is also the name of their first studio album. In this post I will tell you which are my favorite songs from this album released in 2004.

• 1 - ¨Sólo quédate en silencio¨

Fue el segundo sencillo de su álbum debut Rebelde, tanto la versión original como la versión en portugués tuvieron un éxito impresionante en su época, y tiempo después se reveló una versión en inglés para el álbum ¨Rebels¨. También esta canción fue utilizada para promover su novela.

La canción habla sobre el desamor y el dolor de dejar ir a alguien a quien amas, los artistas lo interpretan de una manera que se entienda una conversación entre dos personas.

It was the second single from her debut album Rebelde, both the original version and the Portuguese version had an impressive success at the time, and some time later an English version was unveiled for the album ¨Rebels¨. This song was also used to promote her novel.

The song talks about heartbreak and the pain of letting go of someone you love, the artists interpret it in a way that is understood as a conversation between two people.

• 2 - ¨Otro día que va¨

La canción trata sobre una persona que esta buscando un nuevo comienzo e intenta pensar que cada día es una nueva oportunidad para amar y soñar, aún así no niega el hecho de que si se vuelve a encontrar con esa persona de su pasado podría volverse a enamorar.

The song is about a person who is looking for a new beginning and tries to think that every day is a new opportunity to love and dream, yet he does not deny the fact that if he meets again that person from his past he could fall in love again.

• 3 - ¨Un poco de tu amor¨

Trata sobre una persona que busca una oportunidad en el amor, esta persona piensa que existe una posibilidad de que el amor que siente sea recíproco y busca constantemente una señal.

It is about a person who is looking for a chance in love, this person thinks that there is a chance that the love he feels is reciprocated and is constantly looking for a sign.

• 4 - ¨Cuando el amor se acaba¨ (Maite)

Habla sobre una chica cuya relación terminó y posiblemente esa persona a quien quiere ya este con alguien más, básicamente es una canción de superación.

It talks about a girl whose relationship ended and possibly the person she loves is already with someone else, basically it's a song of overcoming.

• 5 - ¨Fuego¨ (Dulce Maria)

La canción nos cuenta el como es sentirte locamente enamorada de alguien, habla sobre toda emoción y furor que se expande sobre tu cuerpo cuando empiezas a desarrollar sentimientos por otra persona.

The song tells us what it's like to feel madly in love with someone, it talks about all the emotion and furor that spreads over your body when you start to develop feelings for another person.

• 6 -¨Sálvame¨ (Anahí)

Es el tercer sencillo del álbum debut Rebelde, el tema fue grabado en portugués e inglés debido a su gran popularidad. El tema dio nombre a la fundación de la agrupación, a la cual llamaron Fundación Sálvame, para ayudar a los niños de la calle. Es una canción muy bonita pero al mismo tiempo bastante triste, recuerdo que lloraba cada vez que la escuchaba de niña.

It is the third single from the debut album Rebelde, the song was recorded in Portuguese and English due to its great popularity. The song gave its name to the group's foundation, which they called Fundación Sálvame, to help street children. It is a very beautiful song but at the same time quite sad, I remember crying every time I listened to it as a child.
