What is Heavy Metal?

Love me some NIN! Seen them a ton of times. They are my second favorite band of all time behind TOOL, who I got to see live Friday night on a head full of magic mushrooms! Freaking EPIC!!!

Ich würde NIN nicht unbedingt mit den "Metallarbeitern" in eine Schublade stecken. Es scheint überhaupt schwer zu definieren, was Reznor verwirklicht? Ich vergleiche ihn immer mit einem Poeten, der seine Botschaften nur selten flüstert. Wobei er auch das kann. Mich würde nicht verwundern, käme er morgen um die Ecke und würde verkünden, seine Werke (Kompositionen) ausschließlich von Robotern oder elektronisch gesteuerten Puppen präsentieren zu lassen.

Ja, die NIN Schublade gibt es nicht.
Manchmal sehe ich Parallelen zu Zappa der es auch nicht so mit Schubladen hatte.
Auf jeden Fall geniale Nusik - wenn man sich darauf einlassen kann, was ja bei dem heutigen „Einheitsgedudel“ vielen schwer fällt. Aber es muss auch nicht jedem gefallen.
Stelle hinsichtlich praktizierter Musik niemals diese Frage: »Wie gefällt es dir?«
Musik sind keine neuen Socken oder eine Krawatte, die du bindest oder dich an ihr aufhängen kannst.
Musik ist etwas zum Erleben!
Zappa hat sich einen "Scheiß" darum gekümmert, was andere in Kritiken verpacken. Unbestritten scheint doch, dass Genialität sich letztlich durchsetzt.

angekommen sind. ;-)

I've not listened to them in a while, but I should rectify that. Years ago they issued some music on The Pirate Bay for free download and I grabbed it. Trent has always been a pioneer.

Whenever you listen to his precise created studio albums, you find a lot more.
