Weekend-Engagement 169: Things I would like to improve on
Greetings community of weekend experiences, it is a pleasure to write here again, it is impressive how quickly the weeks of last month passed, I hardly had time to breathe since lately I have been very busy with work and also with the daily trips to buy groceries because coincidentally this week I got very creative in the kitchen, so to speak, so going out every day to stock up on ingredients was part of my routine, even so, and just like the previous weeks, I could afford to watch a movie every night before going to sleep, something that relaxes me and distracts me a lot, in fact I have a list of movies that I want to see before I die and the truth is that there are many, the list is long so it will take me a long time to achieve that goal, in Finally, entering the main theme of the post, today I come to leave my contribution to the Weekend-Engagement this weekend, the theme I chose to develop was "What things would you like to understand better" as always I hope my participation like it, without anything else to add I will start directly with the post:
1. Electronics: I am an electronics engineer, a career that I really liked studying and to which I dedicated years of my life to understand it well. Before becoming an engineer, I was first an electronic technician, which is why I learned many practical things about the subject that I It helped a lot to understand the theory when I started my engineering studies, even so, since I graduated I have continued learning more and more since with the passage of time electronics advances a lot and my knowledge constantly becomes somewhat obsolete so I have to living in a constant study and updating my knowledge, at this point it is very difficult for me to keep up with current electronics since I am dedicated to learning from videos, but I feel that it is not enough so I am always in that constant fight to to better understand my career.
2. The music: From a very young age I began to learn acoustic guitar but in a self-taught way, I never had teachers or someone to ask for advice but that was never an impediment since I had Internet at home and every question or doubt that arose I could solve it With a few clicks, then I began to get fully into music, I bought several electric guitars and a piano, in fact when I left high school my dream was to study music but I didn't have academies in my state and I didn't have money to move far from home so I dedicated myself to learning as much as I could based on tutorials and books, currently I know a lot about music and I feel very proud of it, I know how to read sheet music, I know many scales, modes and I have developed a good musical ear, I have even I have come to compose several songs, even so, I feel that I am in diapers as far as technique is concerned, it is very difficult for me to obtain the sound that I would like to express with my guitar, I feel that my sound still needs to be improved and even if I practice every day, I think that I am stuck because I have not been able to obtain the desired results, one of my greatest personal desires is to be able to understand music from its roots, to know the structure of the melodies, to be able to identify the scales used in the songs and other things like that, I I feel very limited because I have never had any kind of academic study, but I keep going trying to improve every day, watching videos and studying music analysis on my own.
3. English: Something that I love is American pop culture and from a very young age I have always been interested in learning English, unfortunately until my adulthood I lived in a small town far away from the city that barely had Internet, in addition, my economic conditions did not They were the best, so I dedicated myself to practicing English at home, watching tutorials on YouTube and watching subtitled movies, making long lists of vocabulary and practicing the language a lot. When I managed to move to the city and get a stable job, I didn't hesitate twice and I I enrolled in a language academy, they were the best months of my life because I learned a lot, unfortunately I lost my job so I had to drop out, in any case I continued practicing on my own and that is something that is very noticeable since up to date Today I can speak advanced English, in fact I can hold conversations, I can read texts and understand almost completely, but I can't watch a movie or understand a song completely, I can catch certain parts but not understand the whole context since I still have a lot to do to learn and I feel that on my own I will not be able to achieve it since I have been trying for years and although I feel progress, I cannot have the level of understanding that I would really like.
And well friends, I hope you liked my contribution to the theme of the weekend, I have many more things that I want to understand better since I am always in constant learning and it is something that I am passionate about, learning new things is an essential part of my life, for now I leave those 3 things that I would like to understand better because they are the first that came to my mind when I started writing the post, as always thanks for stopping by, see you next weekend, take care of yourselves, see you the next.

I want to improve my English. I have a lot to learn because I can read and understand at a general level some things but it's not enough. I don't have wifi and it's difficult for me because of that. I watch videos but not many. But I support myself with Duolingo, although I know it's not enough either. So if you have tips for me to learn English in a self-taught way are welcome ❤️
I also love music and one of my goals is to learn to play guitar once and for all. I have an acoustic guitar but I only know the basics. Something I've always wanted to do is take singing lessons because I know I sing beautifully but I'd like to do much better. These are things I like, and I would like to improve and learn for a hobby 😁.
Duolingo has disappointed me haha 🤣, I've been doing it for about 8 years and I've learned very little, but I've learned taking my favorite songs and translating them in parts to understand the context and it has helped me a lot to improve my pronunciation and let go more when time to speak 😀
As for music, learning to play the guitar I learned to sing because in one way or another you tune yourself when you are getting the musical ear, to play acoustic I recommend that you practice scales, apart from improving your speed practicing them is the basis of all the solos and it helps a lot to achieve your own style, that worked for me when I started playing, it's just a matter of not getting discouraged, regards! 😊
I would also like to learn English in a better way, I feel that I still have a long way to go and sometimes I even doubt that I will be able to learn it 100%. I think I forgot how little I knew about electronics, but I know I won't need that.
English is a very important language, but to learn it I consider that a lot of study is needed, I have wanted to learn it self-taught for years and I feel that I have not been able to advance much
