Three Tune Tuesday: Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington Messed Up My Whole Plan, So Let's Feature Them Because They Are Wonderful

Now I had a theme and a plan for this week ... but then I stopped to hear this and said, "The people need to hear this, no matter what else I do today, PERIOD!

And then I started listening to the tunes I know and the tunes I don't on this album and said, "FORGET THE REST... we're staying RIGHT HERE. I will never will think of an azalea the same way again ... this is so beautiful ... a song to a flower, but so full of meaning about life and the way we connect to places and things ... "

Now "Mood Indigo" is a classic ... but that opening ... and from there it just gets BETTER ... and then Mr. Armstrong starts singing ... such beauty ... the clarinet here is also exquisite ...

Yesterday and today have been very stressful to me ... life happening plus anniversary stress ... I was looking for relaxing tunes ... and ended up here, in transcendent jazz land with two of my favorite people in music ... not the relief I planned, but, perfectly unplanned ... I could not let this music not be known by our community on Hive! Enjoy!

You've shared such wonderful tunes with us. The moment I saw Armstrong's name, I was pushed to click and listen in because I am a lover of his tunes.

I am sorry about everything that's happening. Life can be too much sometimes, eh? Happy anniversary, and I am glad to know you are a bit relieved.
