Three Tune Tuesday: Gentle Rainy Day Autumn Jazz

As I do this post it is raining in San Francisco ... gentle, calm autumn rain refreshing the city after a week of "late-late summer heat and refreshing the autumn flowers ... and that makes me think of particular pieces of jazz... don't miss the dance moves in the third video!

Summer is over ... surrendering to the silver skies and rain-kissed landscape and refreshing cooler temperatures and change in the seasons is necessary ... but it certainly gets easier while listening to Thelonious Monk stride along in his gently quirky way (with a few hints of stormier weather to come)!

One cannot have raindrops on gallant autumn roses without John Coltrane to tell us about it with his horn! The chords for this are a subtle surprise for those who know the Mary Poppins original ... like the subtle changes of early autumn, at last noticeable from summer...

When you love jazz and autumn for what they are, you can fully enjoy ... I'm not saying that everyone is blessed with Monk's piano skills or his dance moves here, but dancing in the streets in an autumn rain is definitely not out of the question!

LoL! Those dance moves, that move you make when you got no worries😀 The water droplets on the flower makes it look beautiful.

Glad you enjoyed all of that ... and yes, Thelonious Monk dancing like there was nothing in the world wrong was a special moment with some special music!

Plenty of rain here too in Ireland, but no amount of Jazz makes me like the rain! Give me sunny skies any day!! Ha ha, but in places where you get set seasons, it's not so bad.. Nice tunes

We don't have set seasons here either ... not really ... but we are semi-arid, so rain is always welcomed gratefully because we can have 6-9 years at a stretch in which it doesn't rain in any significant amount.
