Unanswered - Suicide Silence - Guitar Cover

BOO. I bet you weren't expecting me to be back with another post now instead of in, like, 7 weeks from now. Scary, huh? Anywho, how's it hanging? Here today with another guitar cover. This one a little bit different than some of my past ones. I've actually covered this once before on my youtube channel, though now it's unlisted. I decided to re-do it as a test run of sorts with a new software I found out about recently. The program is called Moises, and it's an AI software that can manually remove specific instruments from songs as well as mess with the mix of the song if you so like. I'm still suuuper new to using it and learning it, but it seems like an amazing program for wanting to record covers or to have backing tracks done for live playing/busking.

I used it to remove both of the guitars from this song and then played both of them on my own so all the guitar you hear in this cover is just me. A lot of bigger youtubers who do covers typically just build a drum track recreating the song most of the way to try and avoid copyright. I've never been too keen on learning how to program drums because it just seems tedious as fuck, so this software is great for a lazy bastard like me. I played with it a little bit to get around a copyright claim in my last Drop A video as well. The Chelsea Grin song was claimed and then blocked worldwide which was annoying, so I went in and removed the vocals with Moises along with the guitars leaving only the bass and drums and low and behold, no more copyright claim blocking the video.

If you're in the market for a software like this, I would highly recommend it. At least from my limited exposure. I'm just using the free version since I'm a hobbyist, so I'm limited to altering 5 tracks per month. If you pay for the pro though you can go fucking ape shit with it.

Buuut, yeah. Hope you enjoy the cover! This song is one of my absolute favorites from Suicide Silence and a classic throw back song for the Deathcore genre. Definitely a more caveman type song in terms of the riffing, but really fun and really brutal. This band has inspired and affected so many modern bands we have, it's honestly crazy how big of an impact these guys had. Specifically, The Cleansing album which this song is from really touched a lot of peoples little, dead, black hearts.

Until next time, doods!

I've not used Moises, but I think the Drumeo school make drumless backing tracks with it. I did play with some similar software a few years back, but things will have improved since then. You do have to be careful with Youtube though as their system can detect tracks in the mix. I've only been flagged once there, but that's a reason to use 3speak. We need more people to know there is an alternative.

I'm playing more drums than guitar these days, but a lot of metal stuff is really hard. I can't play fast enough.

Rock on!
