what is this style of metal classified as? I regularly get put on blast on various forums for not being up to speed on the 367 types of metal classifications there are these days. I miss the days of metal/ heavy metal / thrash metal/ death metal... and that was all there was.
Figured I'd do something goofy and went with that, gotta keep people entertained with all the tiktok brain rot going around :)
Uh, so these guys are a mixture of metalcore (Which is just like an extreme form of metal mixed with punk) and just like a very heavy hardcore band. I've heard some people call them beatdown hardcore too. There is an absurd amount of genres these days, so I do get where you're coming from. I think once we got to, like, 2013/2014 things just went crazy with labeling.
Side note, these guys played live on Jimmy Kimmel not too long ago. Had a really funny reaction from casual people at home seeing this shit, lol
Not a fan of Knocked Loose and this heavy stuff in general but my god if I love Poppy with all my heart
(At the same time I'm a big fan of Spiritbox. Is it a contradiction? Nah, I don't care ahah)
