Three Tune Tuesday・Earworms

Greetings and salutations Hivers. Today let's go into another Three Tune Tuesday post.

As always, thanks to @ablaze for making this series. Lots of people participate in it! Follow the tags to find a ton of good music recommendation.

Today I have another interesting mix. The first came to me, and I followed the thoughts randomly to lead to the next two. See what you think!

John Denver - Take Me Home, Country Road

You know that point where you've had enough to drink that you have a pleasant buzz, but you haven't had so much that the room is spinning and you are losing track of what's happening; that point where everything is just right and the world is just perfect as it is. Then a melody hits you, possibly one from a live band playing in the bar or maybe from the jukebox or the brave soul doing karaoke in front of the room; and the melody just hits perfectly, you close your eyes and sway to it and are carried away.

There is something about this melody that is like that.

I woke up at 330am the other night and this song was in my head. I'm not quite sure why it was—I hadn't listened to it in years, at least not intentionally. Whatever the reason, where ear-worms like that can often be annoying, I found myself enjoying it as I laid in bed, mentally singing along, not trying to banish it or get back to sleep, but instead swaying with the song and losing myself in the melody.

By the way, when I was searching for this song, this cover of it poped up in the search results, but some dude doing a multi track recording of himself singing it. Really well done!

Speaking of ear-worms...

George Harrison & Bob Dylan - Yesterday

Ok, we all love this song. As Paul has always told it, he wrote it about his mother, but I think the most common interpretation is probably for a lost lover. Anyway, here is a version I bet you've never heard before! George Harrison you can probably imagine singing it, but Bob Dylan? Dylan has a rawness that really suits the song.

First To Eleven - Don't Stop Me Now

Queen had more than a few songs that can just stick in your head. This one might be right near the top. I wasn't familiar with First To Eleven. Wikipedia tells me they hit it big on YouTube fairly recently and changed their name to Concrete Castles. Whatever the case may be, this is a great cover!

So what's your favorite?

Now there are only three of them to choose from. They could serve me twenty of them on a platter. If Bob Dylan is one of them, then it's almost pointless to ask me which one is my favourite.
It's the perfect voice for a uniquely good song.😎

Nice selection of songs. That is probably my second favorite Queen song after Fat Bottomed Girls. I also really love John Denver. I wanted to get over to his nature preserve when we were in Colorado this past summer, but it was just too far away.
