I never got into Golden Boy, but I remember it well. It was fairly popular in the early Western anime communities. Now I did enjoy GTO quite a lot. I used that manga (and Ranma 1/2) as Japanese learning materials.

I never got round to watching Ranma 1/2 though. I own it on DVD somewhere but I never watched it.
