Hi my friend, let's start with asio:
so let me know if you have changed the latency in Asio app like this:

Choose your Audio Interface (Focusrite Scarlett Solo) but in my case it was Audient iD14

and then change the Audio buffer Size, it is also depends on your computer or Laptop CPU, If it can handle it, (Some audio interface has their own builtin CPU and some does not have that feature but it is still ok, it can use your PC or laptop CPU, so you can change buffer size from 512 to 128 if it couldn't handle it then choose 256.

The smaller the buffer size, the lower the latency you'll get.

Ok, now if that didn't fix your problem, then we are going to fix it in Ableton Live,

if you are using Mac, go to Live, Prefrences then in the Audio Tab
on Windows simply go to Options and then choose Prefrences:

check the device if it chose Asio or Focusrite Directly? (I need to know)

and then check the latency section and set it to a lower number for a lower latency (in my case I can change that sample rate in my Audio Interface App) but it is also changeable in this section which I am showing you in the image below:

another way to reduce latency is to go to Options and then choose Reduce Latency when monitoring (Which I added a line around it in the image above

I hope your problem will be fixed with these, let me know if you need more help. I will be happy to help.

Wow bro! Thank you so very much for all of this!! Really appreciate it! Once I select 'reduce latency when recording' it makes a difference, especially when I am speaking into the mic! I also think I had a setting on somewhere that is playing my audio after it has gone through the effects and eq, which made things worse. There is still some latency, and I can't get it as low as you can, but for now it is good :)

Now, it is time to figure out how to get a good guitar tone using Ableton Live Lite free and preset plugins :)

It's my pleasure, my friend. Here's one more option to reduce the delay: you should record all the other tracks and export them as WAV files, then open a new project and add the tracks again. This way, your CPU won't have to load all the effects and plugins for the other tracks, and you'll only need to add effects to one track (the recording track).

or even export your current project as one full track as wav, and record your guitar lines and then get back to the first project and add those new lines.

Another option with the Focusrite is to use the monitoring switch on your soundcard. This sends the audio directly to your headphones first, and then to the computer, eliminating any delay. In this case, you can also tell if the delay is coming from your device or if it's happening after processing through your PC.

Let me know if any of these solutions fix the problem. I'd be happy to help! :)

Thank you so very much man! I truly appreciate you sharing your knowledge with me :) I was thinking I might need to update my setup, but knowing that once I spend a few days improving there will be a solution! :)
