Music for Hope and Healing | Just some of my Selections from Random Genres
Hi guys, I hope you are well and you had a great day or night.
Today I was thinking about writing something different, something about myself, not just one of my own songs or something to teach, but something about life. Sometimes, you might feel down, and the pressures of life can hurt you a lot. Some people might look for a drug or something to calm them, but for me, the world works differently. Whenever I feel like that, I just go and listen to some special songs, when I listen to them, they make me feel good again.
I could make a longer list, but these are the songs I remember most from the genres I've listened to over the years. you can also add your own songs in the comments so I can listen to them :) <3
For example, these songs:
Stay Alive by José González
I start with José González's "Stay Alive," a special song for me which with its light piano, gentle guitars, and soothing vocals, really gives off a sense of freedom and a kind of holy feeling. The lyrics add so much depth to it, making it even more powerful. It’s a beautiful and calming experience that stays with you long after the song ends.
Ohne Dich by Rammstein
This band has a lot of great songs, and I usually listen to most of their heavy music. But today, I chose this one because it has that hopeful feeling in its music. I can say that "Ohne Dich" is an emotional and soulful ballad, standing apart from their usual intense sound, as they sing and perform it with profound feeling.also, Its music video adds a sense of hope, portraying perseverance even in the face of hardship.
Fix You by Coldplay:
I have to admit, I don't connect with most of their new songs as much as I do with their older ones. Coldplay's Fix You is one of those timeless tracks. It's an emotional and uplifting song about healing, support, and perseverance. The soaring melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and gradual build evoke a deep sense of hope and comfort. This song has been a part of various moments in my life, and each time I hear it, I’m reminded of the memories tied to it.
In My Place by Coldplay
"In My Place" by Coldplay is one of those songs that starts off with powerful drums playing cymbals and hats, creating a bright sound that catches your attention right away. Then, when the rest of the band joins in, it turns into something completely crazy—full of amazing feelings and energy.and the way Chris Martin’s voice carries the lyrics just adds so much depth. It's like the music builds up in such a way that you can't help but feel every moment. The combination of the drums and the instruments creates a wave of emotions that make you really connect with the song.
How to Save a Life By The Fray
Well, as you can also see in their music video that this song is mostly about Young people, youth problems, but it can also relate to elder people's life. The Fray's How to Save a Life carries a deep sense of sorrow and reflection, telling a story of regret and the struggle to help someone before it's too late. The music has some sad feelings, but the chorus brings a bright, uplifting touch that adds a sense of hope.
This is the Life by Amy Macdonald
Amy Macdonald's This is the Life is an upbeat and anthemic song that celebrates living in the moment and embracing freedom. Its catchy melody and infectious energy bring a sense of optimism, while the lyrics reflect a longing for something more meaningful in life. It’s one of those songs that makes you feel alive and reminds you to appreciate the journey. First time I saw this music video on TV, it makes me go and check for more songs from this singer since she reminded me of Cranberries.
All Apologies by Nirvana
Nirvana's "All Apologies" feels like a personal and reflective journey that you can deeply feel it. Kurt Cobain’s emotional vocals and the song’s grunge sadness convey vulnerability and self-reflection. It’s about doubt and regret, but also about finding acceptance. Despite its bittersweet tone, there’s a sense of hope, the idea that even in tough times, change is possible and moving forward can bring inner peace.
Nutshell by Alice in Chains
Alice in Chains' Nutshell is a deeply emotional and introspective song, carried by powerful vocals and haunting guitar riffs. The lyrics express feelings of isolation, inner pain, and vulnerability. I really like this acoustic performance because it feels so close to my heart. The audience cheers for each musician with great appreciation, which makes the experience even more special. The way the vocals are performed and how the guitar complements them, they all work together perfectly, creating an incredible emotional experience for me.
Leave out all the rest by Linkin Park
Linkin Park's Leave Out All the Rest is a song that captures the emotions of seeking redemption and acceptance. The soothing guitar and synth melody and Chester Bennington’s emotional delivery make it a deeply moving track. The lyrics express the desire to be remembered for the good, even when facing flaws or regrets. It’s a powerful reminder that, in the end, the essence of who we are is what we leave behind.
Ode To My Family by The Cranberries
Whenever I listen to Ode To My Family, I’m transported back to feelings of nostalgia. Dolores O'Riordan’s voice, with its deep emotion, always brings a sense of longing for simpler times with loved ones, making it one of those songs that really connects with the heart. ❤️ and the taste of Cranberries music is just special, I love this Irish band.
Patience by Guns N' Roses
The acoustic guitars in Patience by Guns N' Roses are truly amazing. The intro whistle gives a feeling of release from pain and a sense of freedom. Every time I listen to it, I’m reminded of how important it is to take a step back and just breathe. The soft, soothing guitar of Slash (especially the solo section) and Axl's heartfelt voice bring a sense of calm and patience, creating the perfect atmosphere for reflection and moments of inner peace. It’s a song that never fails to remind me of the value of slowing down and finding clarity in difficult times.
Every Breath You Take by The Police
Every Breath You Take by The Police has this unique feel – even though the lyrics talk about obsession and longing (Sting has explained that the song is often misunderstood. It’s not just a love song but about obsession and possessiveness. He wrote it during a tough time in his life), but I always feel bright and hopeful when I hear it. The smooth melody and Sting’s voice give me a sense of calm, and despite its sad theme, it feels uplifting. The guitar line, which is like the root of the music, is really great and makes me feel good.
I hope that these music will make you feel good and give you a positive energy.
Love & Peace,
