So today, I was opportuned to attend a worship hangout and I was filled spiritually. The tunes I chose today were used during the programme and it touched my soul so deeply. This is why I have decided to share these songs with you guys today hoping it might also touch a soul deeply.
First up is a masterpiece titled "Adonai" from the one and only Nathaniel Bassey. Guys, this song is not just a song but an experience. From the very first note, you are drawn into a flow of devotion. The way Nathaniel Bassey related the power of the Hebrew word "Adonai" through the Melody makes you feel as if you are being baptized in pure worship.
Every time I hear this song, I am taken back to that quiet corner of my room, knees on the floor, eyes closed, lost in the vastness of God's presence. This is indeed a song that lifts you up, carries you away, and leaves you breathless with awe. This was how I felt today after singing this song. If you are yet to listen to this song, please do so and don't forget to tell me how you felt after listening to it.
Next is "Daddy wey dey pamper" from the minister of melodies, Moses Bliss. Guys, this song right here is a straight shot to the soul. It's like sitting on your creator's lap, and feeling his love watch over you as He whispers sweet words of reassurances and promises. As simple as the lyrics of this song is, it carries a weight of love and tenderness that is just so impossible to ignore.
Trust me guys, this song is a song for those times when you need a reminder that you are not alone, you are cherished, and you are eternally loved. "Daddy wey dey pamper," is a phrase that sticks with you at all times and basically, it's like a lullaby for the spirit.
Finally on this guys, we have "Nara" which was sang by a powerhouse duo, Tim Goffery and Travis Greene. "Nara" is totally a pure fire and it is a declaration, a battle cry, a call to action, and a reminder that there's a warrior within us.
Apparently, this is a song that makes you want to stand up, shout your praises, and march straight into whatever battle lies ahead just because you know your creator is with you. However, this is not just about strength, it is also about total surrender, it is about recognizing that our true power comes from positioning ourselves with God's will. This song is simply a call to let go, to trust, and to walk in the light.
So, there you have it guys, three Nigerian worship songs that have moved mountains within me. These songs are not just catchy songs but they are experiences and testimonies. These songs are basically the soundtrack to my soul's journey, and I hope, somehow, some way, they can touch your hearts too.
