Lake-Life

It’s that time of the year again, time to go to the lake, relax, and build a campfire. The weather is perfect, not too hot, not too cold. We encountered this friendly squirrel hovering around our wood pile. Probably gets used to being fed by us campers. The water was about the right temperature as well. We went for a good swim this afternoon too, and then a walk by the shoreline. Now we have just finished chowing down on some beef hot dogs. Delicious. A few snacks, and feed the fire till bedtime. A perfect day at the lake.

The squirrel wanted to enjoy the company near the campfire but he still seemed shy about approaching it.

I think it is a squirrel, but I’m no expert either. Thanks for stopping by.

That's a big lake! Of course I'm curious where it is, my guess is Diefenbaker or Waskesui! But, I'm probably wrong. I know many folks from Saskatoon go north to Sturgeon, and, I definitely know this lake is not that one!! Fun fact, did you know there's a mountain Called Saskatoon Mountain in Crowsnest? I learned about it when i was bikinh on it this past weekend! I thought that was really cool! I hope you really enjoyed camping and all the cute forest critters!! ✌️

Most people tend not to go by the BML, which is just the way you want it.

Such a close up picture of squirrel. Here, by the time we go nearby, it will be on the edge of any tree top. The other shots are also equally amazing, but I liked the first one more 🙂

I love days like that! It will live etched into your mind forever. I have many great memories like that one. I'm glad you had the time to take off and relax.

It is funny how squirrels in campgrounds and cooking areas have learned people are a great source of food!

Great pictures and always!

Seems like they are so used to us humans. I did not feed him, but it is obvious, they get probably as much as they want from all the frequent campers.
