Colourful Yellow Larches

IMG_20230927_134905_Original.jpeg

As the Ptarmingan hiking experience winds down, I have just a couple more photos to share. The last part of the hike was certainly the most colourful. The sun was starting to come out and brighten up the yellow Larch trees, much to my pleasure. Yesterday’s hike was a bit of a disappointment, as the impromptu mini snow storm sort of ruined the yellow Larch views for the most part. After the completion of this hike, it will be time to start planning the next outing into the wilderness. I hope to make it out to the mountains at least once or twice in the Winter, as long as the driving conditions cooperate. One Winter a few years back, we made it out to Yoho park, and hiked around Emerald lake. Maybe its time to try that again.

The interaction of larch with the mountains enhances the beauty of the scenery. The image is flawless.

That's a great first image must be deep into Kananaskis looking West. Totally missed the Golden Larches this year while travelling, going to make a point of seeing them next time. Went on so many incredible hikes over the summer though.

@daveks
Again a well approach and appreciation for this. But who have make these ways to walk around the hikes , any tourist department.?
I think this time snow has overcome as compared to the previous snow on the hike. Keep making such type of tours , because these views gives much relaxation and provides pure natural sights for enjoyment.

These areas have been popular with hikers for decades, so they have been well travelled upon. In Banff park, which is just to the west of here, back in the 1800’s or early 1900’s there were a few different explorers that tracked out some prime hiking trails for us to enjoy today.

Is this a kind of yellow larches or are they sick with something? And thank you for inviting me to join the community.

So beautiful is the mountain scenery filled with flowers and that beautiful snow that seems to smear every embrace. Travel is a big part of our lives. Through which we find opportunities to acquire different photography or different experiences. The mountain covered in snow is really amazing to see. A mesmerizing atmosphere that really gives me chills. The size and beauty of each flower in the snow scene is truly unparalleled. I always appreciate your wonderful photography. May God bless you always. Also, I send my respect and love to you and your family.

Nice photography as always, the shots the reflections of Nature and I always find it so soothing. The Larch trees have continued 'their yellowing and greening', a twinning combination of warm colours.

Those larch trees really are such a pretty yellow color! Really pretty. That looks like a great hike as long as the snow storms stay away. What a beautiful view!

Exactly, snow has a tendency to spoil these kinds of hikes…thanks @thebighigg.
