Emerald Rose - Chocolate Frog - Megacon 2012 (2012-02-18)

Emerald Rose, which formed in 1996, was one of the top Celtic Folk Rock bands in the Southeast U.S. They have performed all over the U.S. and in Ireland and they typically feature a mix of unique interpretations of traditional Irish folk songs as well as original music which is at times more filkish than folkish. They attended MegaCon in Orlando a few different years which is where the video above is from. They were even headliners for the Lord of the Rings Oscar parties in Hollywood in 2003 and 2004. Alas, the band is no more. They had their final live show last October. Band members included Arthur Hinds, Brian "Logan" Sullivan, Larry Morris and Clyde Gilbert.



The above song, 'Chocolate Frog', is an Emerald Rose original. Not very traditional Irish/Celtic but very Harry Potter...
