Three Tune Tuesday: OPM Just Took Over My Playlist

Happy Tuesday! Joining the #TTT or #ThreeTuneTuesdayšŸ¤˜šŸ», thanks to @ablaze for coming up with this amazing idea.

My playlist these days is all over the place in the best way possible. I donā€™t really have a specific genre or artist Iā€™m obsessed with right now (well, aside from Olivia Dean, who Iā€™ll be featuring in my next TTT blog!). Itā€™s a mix of Christmas songs, soundtracks from musicals Iā€™ve seen and want to see, plus some old favorites from Chappell Roan, Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, and NIKI.

But lately, Iā€™ve been adding a lot of OPM (Original Pilipino Music) tracks to the mix.

I was never really into OPM before, but something about the live renditions and stripped-down versions changed that for me. Thereā€™s just something about hearing it performed live. It hits differently, y'know!

So, for todayā€™s Three Tune Tuesday, Iā€™m featuring three OPM songs that have been stuck in my head rent-free! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do šŸ’›

I have to thank TikTok for this discovery. This song started playing while I was mindlessly scrolling (don't judge meee hahaha) and I was instantly hooked by the beat. Since then, Iā€™ve been waiting for Solace Out The Door to perform at Jess & Patā€™s so I can finally hear them live. Good thing they released this Cozy Cove version. Iā€™ve had it on repeat ever since!

This shouldā€™ve been on my guilty pleasure TTT post šŸ˜‚ Iā€™m both proud and shy to admit I still know every lyric of this song!! I memorized it back during the pandemic when I had it on loop for days... or weeks? Now that theyā€™ve released their Cozy Cove version, itā€™s found its way back into my playlist, and yep, I still love it šŸ˜‚

Iā€™ve been listening to Cup of Joe non-stop since their concert last October. I know this song came out a few years ago but I only discovered it recently and it was love at first listen. Maybe itā€™s the beat or maybe itā€™s the messageā€¦ or maybe both.

Always appreciate this new OPM playlist haha I love it and right now, while I don't listen to a lot of OPM as nothing caught my attention until this, I've been diving into Cpop and C R&B.

I rarely listen to OPM songs, but these are great! I see why you love Mananatili, it has a certain charm. I like it a lot!
