Three Tune Tuesday: Lowkey Enjoying Hev Abi

December has been super hectic with all the Christmas parties and get-togethers. On top of that, I recently opened a small business, and it’s actually doing really well this holiday season. I’m hoping it still thrives even after Christmas. I really love spending my free time on it. It keeps me busy and entertained, especially because I enjoy what I’m doing.

Since it’s Christmas season and our shop offers personalized items, the orders have been nonstop. I’m really grateful because my first customers were my friends and family! And because I’ve been working on sooo many orders, I need music playing in the background or I’ll go crazy from the sound of my printers and machines 😂

Lately, I’ve been into Hev Abi’s music. Not that he’s new to me. I’ve heard his songs before and even memorized some, even if rap isn’t really my usual thing. There’s something about his music that just pulls you in… or maybe that’s just me? hahaha

Hev Abi is a Filipino rapper. I used to listen to rap music back in grade school and high school but I never really got into it deeply. I kinda enjoy it lowkey though. I listen and sing along when I’m alone or when I’m with people who vibe with that genre too. My friends and sisters always look shocked whenever they hear me singing along to songs like these. I guess I don’t look like I’d enjoy rap, but surprise... I do! And yes, I somehow memorize most of the lyrics hahaha

Anyway, here are my top 3 Hev Abi songs that have been on loop while I work on orders. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

🎶 Walang Alam

“Walang Alam” was released in 2023, and I’m still shocked I remember so much of the lyrics. It’s part of Hev Abi’s album Kung Alam Mo Lang, which is full of songs that give off that “if you only knew” kind of vibe.

While listening on YouTube Music, I stumbled upon a Soul version uploaded by a YT channel, an AI-assisted reimagined version, and I actually stopped what I was doing because I liked it so much.

Have you ever listened to an AI-assisted reimagined version of a song you like? This was my first time and it amazed me how good it is!

Of course, I love their Cozy Cove version :D
