Estoy emocionado de compartir mi entrada para la semana 254 de Hive Open Mic, donde presenté mi cover de "Aléjate de Mí" de Camila. Este tema se alinea perfectamente con el tema de la semana: Break Away. Al interpretar esta canción, no solo regresé a una melodía que había dejado de lado por un tiempo, sino que también me permití explorar emociones profundas y reflexionar sobre el significado del desamor y la libertad.
I'm excited to share my entry for week 254 of Hive Open Mic, where I performed my cover of Camila's "Aléjate de Mí." This track aligns perfectly with the week's theme: Break Away. By performing this song, I not only returned to a tune I'd put aside for a while, but I also allowed myself to explore deep emotions and reflect on the meaning of heartbreak and freedom.
Esta canción tiene un lugar especial en mi corazón porque me transporta a mi adolescencia, y revisitarla fue como abrir un viejo libro lleno de recuerdos. La letra resonó conmigo mientras trataba de transmitir la intensidad del mensaje original. Fue un desafío, pero al mismo tiempo, me sentí liberado al expresarme a través de la música. Durante la interpretación, me sumergí en cada nota y cada palabra, recordando por qué me encanta hacer música. La conexión emocional que se genera al compartir mis covers es algo que siempre busco. Espero que quienes escuchen mi versión puedan sentir esa misma conexión y se lleven un pedacito de lo que viví al interpretarla.
This song has a special place in my heart because it takes me back to my teenage years, and revisiting it was like opening an old book full of memories. The lyrics resonated with me as I tried to convey the intensity of the original message. It was a challenge, but at the same time, I felt liberated by expressing myself through music. During the performance, I immersed myself in every note and every word, remembering why I love making music. The emotional connection that comes from sharing my covers is something I always strive for. I hope that those who hear my version can feel that same connection and take away a little piece of what I experienced when performing it.
