Monsieur Periné for this #ttt from Bogotá

Hello, Hivers and music lovers!

For this Three Tune Tuesday as I'm still in Bogotá, I bring you a Colombian musician band that although they have been in the music scene since 2008, I discovered them recently. They formed in Bogotá and are called Monsieur Periné. From what I have read about them, they started playing music at social events.

Their style is a mix of musical rhythms, Pop, Jazz, Swing, Bolero, and reggae. And one of the things I like is how versatile the singer Catalina Garcia's voice is. They have done a lot of collaborations with outstanding Latin American singers and it was thanks to one of those collaborations that I found out about them.

But before I get into the tunes, let me give you a little background for those of you who aren't familiar with #threetunetuesday. In the words of @ablaze, who started the initiative.

Right, Ok, now for the benefit of new readers, every Tuesday I pick three songs, sometimes all three from the same artist, sometimes three tunes from a particular genre, other times three songs from a certain country - you get the idea. I've always asked others to get involved and over the past few weeks, that is exactly what's happened, and we now have some ThreeTune regulars which is fantastic! The ask is to basically choose three songs to share. You can sing them or hum them or just pick three from an artist you love like I do, which is what most people do each week.

Tune 1 - Monsieur Periné and Pedro Capó - Mundo Paralelo

This song by Monsieur Periné is a collaboration of the band with the Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Pedro Capó.

For me, this song, Mundo Paralelo is a feel-good song. It is one of those songs that you listen to and it puts you in a good mood.

Tune 2 - Rawayana and Monsieur Periné - Hora Loca

This is another collaboration, thanks to which I discovered Monsieur Periné. The song is by the Venezuelan band Rawayana.

And if the previous song put me in a good mood, Hora Loca sounds like beach days and rumba. It has an infectious rhythm, and the song is one of those catchy songs that you listen to and end up humming for days.

Tune 3 - Monsieur Periné - Sabor a mi

The third song I leave you with is one of those bolero songs of all times, Sabor a mi. Monsieur Periné plays it with a very personal touch, very different from the classic bolero but in my opinion charming.
