Friends' tunes for ttt 86
Hello, Hivers and music lovers!
Yey! It's Tuesday! At least it is on my side of the world. The day to discover new tunes and songs, or listen to some old ones, as will be my case again today. This Tuesday, I'm still stuck in the 80s vibe. And all this is possible thanks to the #threetunetuesday or #ttt initiative started by @ablaze.
I will continue in the eighties vibe, like last week because I like the music of that decade, and it brings back so many good memories. But today, the songs I will share besides having to do with 1986 since we are in week 86 of #ttt, have to do with friendship.
I saw in this week's post by @tengolotodo that he was looking for songs with the word friends in the name. So I said, this is it! This week's songs are about friends and have to do with the year 1986.
But before we get into the tunes, let me give a little background for those of you who are not familiar with #threetunetuesday. In the words of @ablaze, who started the initiative
The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #ttt or #threetunetuesday tags that would be great. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.
You can find out more at ablaze's post for this Tuesday with his recommendations for this week, the #86.
So without further ado, join me down memory lane one more time.
Tune 1 - Queen - Friends Will Be Friends
Queen may be my favorite band of all time. And in this 1986's song, the unique voice of Freddie Mercury sings about friendship Friends will be Friends.
Tune 2 - Tina Turner - That's What Friends Are For
The following song has an early version from 1982 sung by Rod Stewart. But don't worry Super Ed @tengolotodo. I won't put a song by him on #ttt again, I promise.
So the version I'm sharing with you is the one that put the song That's What Friends Are For at number 1 on the Billboard in 1986 by Dionne Warwick, Elton John, Gladys Knight, and Stevie Wonder.
Tune 3 - Franco De Vita - Mi Buen Amigo
And finally a song by a Venezuelan pop singer, Franco De Vita. Very popular in the 80s, but who unlike others of the genre continued with a rising career in the following decades. In 1986, he released an album called Fantasía, which includes the song Mi Buen Amigo (my good friend).
This is all for today.
Thank you very much for reading!

This is my first time knowing about this initiative. It looks fun. I'll read the post to learn more about it.
Among the three songs, I only "That's What Friends Are For". It's one of my mother's favorite songs. She sings it at home sometimes, especially when it came out on the radio every Sunday.
It's fun, and I hope you can join us next week :)
What a coincidence that one of the songs was one of your mom's favorites. Cool!

Well of all of them I like Franco de Vita's, it's a good thing to listen to it.
I also listened to Queen, although I'm not a listener of that kind of music, when I've seen some videos of that singer are good in their melody and put on stage, because the lyrics I do not understand anything hehehe.
Of the singers of that era, Franco De Vita was always one of my favorites, along with Yordano.
Aha Super Eli friends indeed was a good theme for 1986 and any excuse to play Tina and of course who didn't like Freddie Mercury!
Friends, love it Super Eli 💙😁
I came up with the theme thanks to your post, Super Ed!!!! You were an inspiration 😉🌀💙
hehe thank you and I try Super Eli!
Wow actually I didn't know any of the song which. You picked but I love the second choice of the song which you picked, it is reakky amazing
I'm glad you got to listen to those songs for the first time. Thank you for stopping by :)
Wow these songs reminded me of my close friends way back in my college days. We used to sing it particularly the "That's what friends are for" . The lyrics mean a lot to us. Indeed, music can heal the broken soul. And I love singing as well. Thank you for sharing this one. Stay safe and God bless.
I'm glad one of the songs brings back good memories to you. Thank you for stopping by :)
You're welcome.. God bless.
That's a lovely selection, listening to them this morning :). I really loved the first one by Queen. Freddie was such a good showman. !LUV
