POSTLUDE IN C - CHRISTIAN CAPPELEN

Christian Cappelen distinguished himself in Norwegian Church music through his accomplished organ playing and teaching at the University of Oslo. After studying under Ludvig Mathias Lindeman and at the Leipzig Conservatoire, he became the organist at Vår Frelsers Kirke in Kristiania. Influenced by Mendelssohn and Schumann, Cappelen composed various works, including hymns and piano pieces. His enduring legacy is most evident in his 12 postludes collection, which this "Postlude in C" was played from.
