Everyone can vividly see that there have been a rapid transformation and development in the aspect of technology to virtually every aspect of live. It is rare for you to find a field of study and not see technology Advancements. Very rare. Technology has changed how we viewed our world and this even includes the music industry. Comparing how music is been created nowadays compared to how it is been created decades ago.
Decades ago, it took lots of money and even expensive gadgets to create a quality music. Gone are the days whereby you hardly go to music studio because the cosy of even recording a song in the studio is really much compared to even producing it. But right now, we can see that with technology, you can now create music with ease. In fact everyone have their own studio at their various houses. And you can have access to professional sound music just from the comfort of your house. Thanks be to the growth of technology.
I personally also believe that with the aid of technology, it really helps music to be able to reach more wider and needed people. Gone are the days that before you have access to a good music, you need to travel to a remote location to have that. But not anymore as with technology, you can now even have access to quality music right from home. I remember growing up, one of the major source in which we listen to music is through radio FM and CDs but not anymore.
With technology, we have streaming apps like YouTube, Spotify, apple music, boomplay and many more that will help you to have access to music with ease at the comfort of your house. This has really helped to make technology so solid and has helped even audience to connect with their various music artists they like. With technology, fans have spread far abroad. You can be singing in Nigeria and still be able to connect with someone in United Kingdom. That is the peorr of technology in the aspect of music industry.
This post will not be complete if I did not even make mention of social media also. Virtually every big name of musician that we know today are no social media. With social media, it has helped music audiences to connect to their favourite musicians and helps to make songs to have access to wider reach. This is quite evident most especially in Nigeria that social media has helped us. With social media, songs have gone viral. Thanks to those tiktok challenges and many more.
For me I believe we are still at the early stage of technology development. Why I said that is more and more development will still come in as technology keeps advancing and advancing. I still believe we will still see the use case of technology most especially in the music industry and beyond. It is juts a matter of time actually.
