Hello everyone welcome to the 195th week of Afritunes. I am @ coderaikiri and for my entry this week I'll be presenting a song cover to Iya-Basira by styl plus..... So stay tuned and enjoy.
Styl plus was a three man boy band in Nigeria that focused on Afro-blues. As a boy I was privileged to listen to some of their tracks thanks to my older sisters.... The first time I listened to the song iya basira I was super young and didn't really understand what it was all about but I just enjoyed watching the music video and tried memorizing the lyrics.
The song is more a less s story about three young men obsessed with the cooking of a woman who runs a local restaurant. Their love for her food grows so dero that they can't even concentrate with their normal lives ignoring both family and their loved ones. It's gotten so bad that they think her meals are laced with voodoo so they are in search of a remedy for their problems.
