Throwback Thursday: The Armed Forces Remembrance Parade in Igbokoda
Hello everyone, it's a Thursday and to that I say welcome to the throwback Thursday community here on the blockchain. I am coderaikiri and for my entry today I'll be taking y'all on a memorable event hosted in Igbokoda.
One of the prominent features of serving in Igbokoda is the close relationship corp members are allowed to have to the Navy and since we are also recognized as men and women of uniform we are usually invited to partake in any event that concerns.
In honour of the fallen members of the armed force, a ceremony was hosted to celebrate their, efforts, valiance, bravery and commitment, a parade was hosted in Igbokoda where the local government chairman and his entire cabinet were invited to grace the occasion while the corp members were put on parade duty. The entire event was a complete success filled with so much fun and because I wanted to document this memory I volunteered to be the media person instead of marching on the parade grounds..........
